Tapping The Vein Is Now Dead To Me

by on December 02, 2006 | Comments Off

About two months ago, I sent a very nice email to Tapping The Vein requesting an interview. Surely they’d have time to answer a mere ten questions. Considering they have a few shy of five-thousand friends, I thought they’d have nothing better to do, not being that popular and all….

Off my email went, proclaiming that I was a fan (I was) and of course, I like bands that take time to correspond with their fans. Feedback is always good. I figured maybe their fans would like a glimpse of what they thought made them special.

They responded shortly, that they’d do it. So I sent my questions with anticipation….and waited….and waited….and waited some more….still nothing, after two months.

Since they didn’t answer them for me (or you, their fans), I’ve taken the liberty of doing so for them. Enjoy.

Q: Heather, have you had your vocals compared to that of Pat Benatar? (I hate to have asked that as my first question, but I had to, I listened first and was reminded of the 80′s, which isn’t a bad thing…)
A: I am actually a second-rate Pat Benatar, I’ve listened to “Love Is A Battefield” too much as a kid.

Q: If you could get one message across to your fans, what would it be?
A: Don’t buy my music, I don’t pay attention to the fans I do have.

Q: What inspires you the most?
A: Copying off the sounds of other people.

Q: If you could compare your sound to that of anyone else’s, who would you say you sound like?
A: I’ll let you guess that one…

Q: What is your favorite song that you’ve done? Why?
A: Numb, because that’s what you’re left feeling after you’re done listening to TTV.

Q: What is your biggest success
A: None to date. Stay tuned.

Q: Where did the name “Tapping the Vein” come from?
A: You can’t guess that one on your own?!??

Q: What song means the most to you?
A: Hit Me With Your Best Shot, oh wait…..

Q: What were your occupations before you decided to form Tapping the Vein?
A: I worked at a Bennigans.

Q: What is it like performing in front of so many fans? Which band is your favorite to tour with?
A: It’s kind of like a Kevin Federline show, we gotta give away the tickets.

Woo-hah.
