Simon says Britney wasn’t ready…duh

Simon Cowell recanted the obvious by stating that he didn’t feel that Britney Spears was ready for her 2007 Video Music Awards performance, Sunday. Tell us something that we didn’t know!
“It would have been worth pulling her off the bill - no matter what the cost - to save any chance she had of resurrecting her career. She wasn’t ready for that show in every possible way.”
I think MTV knew what they were doing in putting her on stage as the opening act. They knew that she was a trainwreck waiting to happen and that she’d bumble on stage. She hasn’t performed in years.
MTV has jumped the shark.
