10 Rockin’ albums for the island dweller in me…and you

By ROBERTA — Oct 29th, 2007

It took me a rather long time to compile this list. Primarily because I had to think about ten albums that I could listen to, over and over again, and love every song. We here at the b5media music channel, pride ourselves on being stranded with the best music around.

1. Megadeth – So far…So good…So What!
Yes, Dave Mustaine, there is no one like him. It was a toss up between this or Holy Wars.

2. Metallica – Master of Puppets
Before Metallica sold out and started sucking.

3. Def Leppard – Pyromania
Once a fan, always a fan. I still remember Joe Elliott in those union jack t-shirts.

4. Guns N Roses – Appetite For Destruction
All of the songs on this one absolutely rock.

5. Matchbox Twenty – Mad Season
This is for when ya feel groovy. Rob Thomas has the voice of an angel and he’s hot. Can’t ask for more than that.

6. Slayer – Reign In Blood
Everyone gets mad once in a while, put this on, it will cure what ails you. (or make you madder..hehe)

7. Cradle of Filth – Nymphetamine
Nymphetamine has to be the best video ever. And I do mean ever. If you haven’t seen it. Go now, I’ll wait.

8. Eminem – The Slim Shady LP
Everyone needs a little bit of Shady in their lives. Listen to Mushrooms, it’s awesome.

9. Journey – Greatest Hits
You can’t tell me that Steve Perry doesn’t have an awesome voice. I wouldn’t believe it. Not for a minute.

10. Bruce Dickinson – Tattooed Millionaire
Love me some Bruce, his unique voice is the power behind Iron Maiden. Love it, love it.

Its good to see you still want to rock Earsucker – even if no one is watching! OurDigitalMusic prefers a slightly more contemplative approach. Check it out at http://www.ourdigitalmusic.com/top-10-desert-island-downloads/

Well, if I was stck on a desert island I would hope the only benefit would be that I was as far from Pyromania as possible — I guess not if you came along. That is one of my all time least favorite albums. Sorry :(

The rest of the list is good though and brings back memories. I have owned at least four copies of Appetite in my life because I listened to it so much as a kid I ruined copies. And I agree about Journey (I’ve got it on vinyl of course).

And this… “Before Metallica sold out and started sucking.” good stuff!
