Songs sang by hot guys Part One
by Roberta Ferguson on Nov.08, 2007, under Uncategorized
I’m starting a series, “Songs sang by hot guys” where all of the songs listed are sang by really hot guys. Cuz, girls, you know, we need some eye candy, too. Right?
To start off, I give you Brett Scallions, formerly of Fuel, singing “Hemorrhage (In My Hands)”:
Hotness Scale (1-10): 8.5
Comments: Perfect teeth, blonde hair, blue eyes, yummy
Music Review: Paralyzer by Finger Eleven
by Roberta Ferguson on Nov.08, 2007, under articles
Perhaps the weirdest video I’ve ever seen. Scratch that, that was “Cold Hearted Snake” by Paula Abdul. But you get the idea. Those dancers. Weirdness.
I had never seen what Finger Eleven looked like before, so you know I was hoping that the singer was hot. Disappointed. as. usual.
Close your eyes, blast this one. It is perfect driving music or perfect to listen to when you’re at the bar.

Chris Brown never wears the same underwear twice
by Roberta Ferguson on Nov.07, 2007, under articles

According to reports, Chris Brown has the luxury of tossing out his underwear after only wearing them once!
R &B hunk Chris Brown insists on fresh underwear every day and throws out briefs once he has worn them. The “Kiss Kiss” hitmaker refuses to wear underwear for more than one day at a time. He says, “I’m not a germophobe, but I don’t feel like washing them ‘cos I’m always moving, so I buy different packs. “I buy like five or six packs… and I’m good for, like, a week and (then) I gotta get a whole lot of new drawers.”
Must be nice!

60% who bought In Rainbows, paid nothing
by Roberta Ferguson on Nov.07, 2007, under articles

Looking at the bigger picture, that’s a devastating number. I would have placed a minimal donation of a dollar or two, at least.
Radiohead’s innovative internet-only release of their seventh album In Rainbows may have proved a financial disaster, according to new figures.
Internet research group ComScore found that more than 60 per cent of fans given the choice to pay whatever they liked for the album chose to pay nothing at all.
The band’s decision to release the album for download, with fans able to specify the price they were willing to pay, was viewed as a brave attempt to redress the damaging effects of digital music piracy.

Josh Duhamel bought Fergie a stripper pole!!
The singer’s boyfriend Josh Duhamel bought a stripper pole so the couple could spice up their sex life. But Fergie – real name Stacy Ferguson – is stunned her erotic pastime has generated so much press. She says, “It’s a fun thing. Lots of people in Los Angeles pole dance for exercise so I don’t see what the big deal is.”
It’s Fergie, people! Yech. I mean, Josh Duhamel is hot, but Fergie?!?!? No.

Pete Doherty caught on video with heroin
by Roberta Ferguson on Nov.06, 2007, under articles

Things aren’t looking good for Pete Doherty:
Troubled British rocker Pete Doherty has been captured on video injecting himself with heroin – just hours after claiming he was drug-free. The shocking footage, shot using a mobile phone, shows the Babyshambles frontman crouched on the floor holding a needle in his mouth. After staring into the camera, he starts ‘cooking up’ what is thought to be heroin and fills the syringe. The video then shows him injecting into his right tattooed arm and he slumps forward as the drugs start to kick in.
A source tells British newspaper The Sun, “It’s not the first time he’s injected since he was supposed to have gone clean. “He may have got clean through rehab, but as soon as the temptation is put in front of him, he cannot help himself. It’s so sad to see. He’s been given so many chances and so many fresh starts and he just throws them all away.” The clip was allegedly filmed at Doherty’s home in Wiltshire, England, on Friday, November 2nd, after he returned from the MTV Europe Music Awards in Germany.
Pete, get off the drugs, man. You’re going to wake up one day with scrambled eggs for brains, if you haven’t already.
Meatloaf cancels European tour due to cyst
by Roberta Ferguson on Nov.06, 2007, under articles

Rock singer Meat Loaf has been forced to cancel his European tour after being diagnosed with a cyst on his vocal cords.
The Bat out of Hell star called off two concerts on his UK tour this week and was scheduled to perform at Wembley Arena this evening.
But the 60-year-old – who won the classic album prize at last night’s Classic Rock and Roll Honour awards ceremony – has now been forced to scrap the rest of his European tour.
In a statement, Meat Loaf said: “It really breaks my heart. I was really looking forward to capping off a great year and celebrating the start of the holidays with the fans.
“But I have to do what the doctors tell me so I can look forward to healing and coming back strong in 2008.”
Get better, Meatloaf, we’ll all be awaiting your return.
Sia is releasing a 4 song EP tomorrow!
by Roberta Ferguson on Nov.05, 2007, under articles

In celebration of her upcoming full-length release, some people have REAL problems, Sia will release a 4-song digital EP on November 6 previewing tracks from the CD, including the first single, “Day to Soon.†The Song will also be available as a free download via Starbucks on November 6 as part of the company’s “Song of the Day†campaign.
Originally known as the vocalist for Zero 7 (Simple Things, When It Falls and The Garden), Sia made her first splash as a solo artist when her song “Breathe Me†was featured in the final episode of “Six Feet Under†in late 2005, and which shot to #1 on Itunes the following day. Since then Sia has continued to gain critical acclaim and a growing fan base, touring this past month to sold out shows across the U.S. in anticipation of her new release.
The new music on some people have REAL problems is at once upbeat, quirky, and achingly gorgeous, featuring incredible song writing and lush arrangements. Sia also enlisted the help of a few talented friends when recording some people have REAL problems, including Beck, who sings on a track called ‘Academia.’ The video for standout track ‘Buttons,’ which is featured as a hidden track on some people have REAL problems, has already garnered Sia a bit of attention after being posted by blogger Perez Hilton. The video has taken off virally, charting as the #1 most linked and #2 most viewed clip on YouTube the week it was leaked onto the Internet.
Track listing for Sia’s digital EP, available November 6 on iTunes:
1. Day Too Soon
2. Academia
3. Buttons
4. Day Too Soon (Mock & Toof Remix)
My first introduction to Sia was when I was a hardcore Six Feet Under fan. The very last episode featured her song, “Breathe Me” at the end. It was a very fitting score for the show’s finale.
Dave Mustaine gets mega mad at idiot fan
by Roberta Ferguson on Nov.05, 2007, under articles

Megadeth star Dave Mustaine has fired off an angry missive to fans after a rude Japanese fan told him she’d posted a terrible live review of his band online. The heavy rocker cut short a meet-and-greet session in Japan earlier this week, October 29th, after a so-called fan upset him with news she’d written a damning review of the group’s performance the previous night and posted it in cyberspace.
In a message on Megadeth’s website, Mustaine threatens to pull all future fan sessions after the strange encounter. He fumes, “If there are ever going to be any more meet-and-greets, it will be traced back to this story. “I was just meeting the gracious and always-polite Japanese fans, and some girl made sure to tell me that she proudly posted a bad review of our show. “I was pretty surprised at how rude she was, and how mean it is to go up to someone and say, ‘I posted a bad review of your show last night,’ like I am supposed to thank her. “(It’s) too bad that she ruined it for the rest of the fans that were at the meet-and-greet. I can only wonder: What is it that she was trying to accomplish? It’s like, `Dave, I just clogged your toilet! Aren’t you proud of me?’ “At least they both have one thing in common…”
Now, we have to find this fan and give her the military beating for screwing it up for everybody!

Headlines (Friendship never ends) video sucks!
by Roberta Ferguson on Nov.05, 2007, under articles
On a good note, they look like they’re having fun. On the other hand, they are swaying around half naked and looking stupid. I have to wonder who directed this nonsense?
Super suckiness, right before your eyes. Run, kicking and screaming from this craptastic video. I think they were just looking for an excuse to show off the bodies of the singers in the band.
Seriously, is that the best you can do?!?

Kid Rock must think he’s Jesus or something
by Roberta Ferguson on Nov.01, 2007, under articles

Kid Rock designed his own Jesus pendant for the release of his new album, Rock N Roll Jesus:
KID ROCK really thinks he is the ROCK N ROLL JESUS – the title of his new hit album – after designing a new pendant featuring an image of himself wearing a crown of thorns. The 14-carat gold pendant, which was crafted by jeweller Diamond Dave, features a 3-D portrait of the rap/rocker in the image of Jesus Christ.
I’m not buying it, I don’t think he’s a rock n roll Jesus at all. I like his music, especially Bawitdaba, but a Jesus, he is not. No matter how many pendants of yourself you design. Heh heh.

Slash handled Axl Rose with kid gloves
by Roberta Ferguson on Nov.01, 2007, under articles

Slash has gone on the record to basically say that his ex-bandmate, Axl Rose is a mental case. Slash says that Axl once fell asleep on his mother’s couch and his grandmother had nowhere to sit. He tried to speak on the situation, but Axl hopped out of the car at 35-40mph.
Rocker SLASH had to treat his GUNS N’ ROSES bandmate AXL ROSE with “kid gloves” or risk the singer jumping out of moving vehicles. The guitarist learned early on that volatile Rose wasn’t a fan of criticism – when he threw himself out of a car after Slash reprimanded him for being rude to his mother. Rose was living with Slash in the mid-1980s and upset the guitarist’s family after taking offence to a polite request to move off a sofa he had fallen asleep on. Slash recalls, “One morning, I took off to work, and in the afternoon I guess he woke up and passed out on my grandmother’s couch. “I came home from work and my mom said, `You know, that guy Axl, I came home and he was asleep on the couch and grandma had nowhere to sit.’ “I told him he had to get up and whatnot, so he went downstairs.’ I thought I had to confront this issue. “So we got in the car and I very delicately put it that that was sort of rude. His reaction was to jump out of the car at about 35, 40 miles per hour on Santa Monica Boulevard. I realised what I’d said to him had offended him.”
Sounds like a nutjob to me.
Former Ramones manager, Linda Stein murdered
by Roberta Ferguson on Nov.01, 2007, under articles

Linda Stein, former manager of the Ramones, was murdered due to blunt force trauma to the head and neck. She was 62 years old.
Stein was found dead in the kitchen of her Manhattan apartment on Tuesday night, October 30th. She was 62. Police have launched a homicide investigation, after an autopsy revealed she had died from blunt force trauma to the head and neck. There were no signs of forced entry to her Fifth Avenue home. Stein managed legendary rockers The Ramones during their 1970s heyday, through her marriage to the Warner Brothers Vice President and Sire Records head, Seymour Stein.
Following the breakdown of her marriage, she left her career in artist management and turned to real estate, with clients including actors Bruce Willis and Sylvester Stallone, and singers Sting and Billy Joel. Stein was also a prolific philanthropist, raising millions of dollars for breast cancer charities, having beaten the disease twice. She is survived by her two daughters, Mandy and Samantha.
Hope they find out who murdered her, this is such a tragedy.
