Someone wanted to kill Hannah Montana?

by on Jan.25, 2008, under articles

Hannah Montana

Apparently some kid wanted to hijack a plane and crash it into a Hannah Montana concert. And I missed it.

The unnamed sixteen-year-old was detained because he smuggled handcuffs, duct tape, rope, and other items onto a flight that was bound for Louisiana on Tuesday.

Of course he’s denying it, he got caught……

We’re living in a Britney Spears economy

by on Jan.25, 2008, under articles

Britney Spears & Adnan Ghalib

News and pictures of the poptard, Britney Spears are so profitable that the singer is said to have created a Britney Spears economy. She has an estimated worth of $125 million and makes a ton of cash in interest monthly.

The singer has racked in over $400 million for Jive Records, $150 million for tour promoters and her two perfumes have brought in about $100 million for Elizabeth Arden.

The paparazzi snappers are the biggest winners in this one, though. They can sell pictures of Britney shopping for $125, which doesn’t seem like much, but exclusives can go as high as $100,000.

Maybe I should start hunting her down and snapping pictures…ha.

Busta Rhymes gets probation for assault

by on Jan.24, 2008, under articles

Busta Rhymes

Rapper Busta Rhymes AKA Trevor Smith, pleaded guilty yesterday to assault, two driving charges, and weapons possession. He avoided a trial and the year long prison sentence that the prosecutors were recommending.

The judge in the case disagreed with prosecutors and instead sentenced him to three years probation and ten days of community service for beating a fan who spit on his car.

Rhymes was also fined $1,250 for driving with a suspended license in 2006 and driving while intoxicated in 2007.

How’s that for celebrity justice?

Amy Winehouse’s label stands behind her despite crack smoking

by on Jan.23, 2008, under articles

Amy Winehouse

Amy Winehouse’s record label is pledging to fully support the drug addicted star….even after she was caught on video smoking crack out of a glass pipe.

Universal has said that they have no plans to fire Amy and has vowed to help get the British Britney back to good health.

I just have to wonder if she can do no wrong in their eyes? Hopefully the police will do something with her since they’ve gotten access to the video of her crack smoking.

Badboy Sean “P. Diddy” Combs threw a monster of a party after the Sundance Film Festival this past weekend.

According to sources the mega-party infuriated the neighbors and all of the cars up and down the street made it hard to drive.

One resident moaned: “We came back from Main Street to see cars packed on our property and numerous people being dropped off by taxis to his house.

If that were me, I would’ve had some rich celebrity’s car towed. Park on my property & see what happens!

Simon Cowell doesn’t feel for Britney Spears anymore

by on Jan.21, 2008, under articles

Simon Cowell

American Idol judge Simon Cowell once said that he really felt for Britney Spears and even offered to speak to her directly, following her breakdown.

He has recently changed his mind and suggests that Britney is full control of what’s going on around her. He said that he’s convinced that she’s callously manipulating the media and is deliberately misbehaving.

I wouldn’t doubt it, the broad loves the attention and the paparazzi are her only “true friends”.

He says:

“If you don’t want to get any press attention, just keep your head down, don’t drive yourself anywhere and sit in the back of blacked-out limousine. But if she thinks she knows what she is doing, then good luck to her.”

P. Diddy is guilty of assault, says witnesses

by on Jan.21, 2008, under articles

P. Diddy

Several witnesses have come forward to say that they saw Sean “P. Diddy” Combs assault real estate agent, Gerard Rechnitzer at a post-Oscars party last year.

Gerard has claimed that Diddy was hitting on his girlfriend at a party at Teddy’s, but when Gerard tried to escort his girlfriend away, Diddy clobbered him!

“I just kind of remember seeing [Rechnitzer] go flying, not flying as in like feet off the ground, but he went back significantly,” Marianna Ruiz, a witness, said in her deposition.

“I was just in shock that somebody would … just kind of strike somebody out of nowhere.”

Witness Michael Sherman confessed: “All of a sudden, [Diddy] hit him. And there was a taxi behind Gerard. Gerard got knocked into the taxi.”

Craziness!

New song: Hello Stranger – “Big Boots”

by on Jan.19, 2008, under articles

Hello Stranger

L.A.’s Hello Stranger will hit the road for a string of dates with the Foo Fighters and Against Me! this month. A band constantly pushing their limits, Hello Stranger’s sound combines elements of both rock and glam, mixed with a hefty dose of raw energy.

Loads of relentless touring with the likes of Kings of Leon, Rooney and Eagles of Death Metal has prepared the foursome for these shows where they will be playing tracks from their upcoming release.

The new record will follow the band’s 2006 self-titled debut, a blend of rock, electro-pop and roots revival, co-produced by drummer Joachim’s father, legendary musician Ry Cooder.

Hello Stranger are currently int he studio with producer Mike Elizondo (Maroon 5, Rilo Kiley, Pink) where hte band’s heavier side has started to emerge ont racks like “Big Boots” and “Gimme Back My Wig” — songs with a power made for stadium shows.

Frontwoman Juliette Commagere has added to the band’s ballsier side by starting to play electric guitar, but she still continues to shred on her keytar – an instrument that, along with Juliette’s alluring vocals, is at the heart of Hello Stranger’s sound.

Listen to their new song, Big Boots, here!

A.J. McLean is trying to stay relevant

by on Jan.18, 2008, under articles

AJ McLean

I believe that A.J. McLean isn’t really relevant anymore, and I’m sure I’m not the only one who thinks that. If you have to think long and hard about who this douchebag is, then I’ve just proven my point.

Check out his comments on popwreck Britney Spears:

“I believe in her 110 percent, but she needs to call.” he said. “If her publicist or somebody can get in touch with me, I just want to sit down with her and have it out.”

Asked what advice he’d offer to Spears, McLean says, “First I would say, ‘What the hell is wrong with you?’ Second I would say, ‘What is really wrong with you? What are you not saying to everybody else?’ “

Mike Schmuckabee did this sorta thing as he commented on Britney’s little sister, Jamie Lynn, getting knocked up.

It’s all about relevancy.

Bo Bice dropped by Sony?!??!??

by on Jan.16, 2008, under articles

Bo Bice

Who’s next?!??

Not that I would’ve thought that Bo Bice was a good singer by any stretch of the imagination, but peeps at Sony BMG are dropping like flies!

Bo Bice tried to make it look like it was a mutual decision by saying that his contract came up for renewal and he didn’t renew it. He’s now pimping out his album at Walmart and says his pockets aren’t deep and all of the money is coming from him.

Ok, retard, if you had the opportunity to keep your record label that does have deep pockets, I would’ve thought you would’ve stuck with them. Just sayin’.

John Mayer defends Jessica Simpson

by on Jan.16, 2008, under articles

John Mayer

John Mayer is urging Dallas Cowboys fans to take it easy on Jessica Simpson, instead of taking the easy route and blaming her for her boyfriend, Tony Romo’s poor performance. The fans are saying that she threw off Romo’s game and caused him to be distracted or something.

Here’s what he wrote on his blog:

This isn’t a sports blog, and it isn’t a publicity stunt. (but have at me if it feels right.)

This is about doing what I think is right as a person, in this case speaking my mind.

I have never known anyone to have more pride in their home state and their upbringing in it than Jessica Simpson has in Texas. I don’t really follow sports, but I have played some of my biggest and best concerts in your state, and having witnessed how dynamic the spirit there is, I’m betting emotions are running high right about now.

All witty barbs, blogs, and fashion policing aside, that girl loves Texas more than you know. It’s one of her most defining traits as a person. So please don’t try and take that away from her. (You probably wouldn’t be able to, but it’s less work for all involved.)

I just thought it would mean something coming from the guy who has the absolute least to gain from this. And if I’m out of line in having written it, too bad. I can spare a Wednesday’s worth of bad press if it means sticking up for a good soul.

I didn’t read a word of it, but if John Mayer says it’s true, then it must be. (Insert witty sarcasm here)

Twiggy Ramirez returns to Marilyn Manson for 2008 tour

by on Jan.14, 2008, under articles

Marilyn Manson

Twiggy Ramirez
has returned to Marilyn Manson after splitting over creative differences in 2000. Manson cites the way Robert Plant and Jimmy Page looked at each other in a zen moment at their London gig and realized he wanted that again with Twiggy. They had a chance meeting in L.A. and Manson called Twiggy and said, “Let’s go do this” and invited him to tour this year with the band again.

Manson said they started music together to bring about the apocalypse and realized they still had work to do.

I love Manson’s music, here’s just hoping they don’t try to tour with the likes of Slayer again. Stay on your end of the spectrum, guys.
