Don’t they mean ‘gangsta’ lifestyle?
50 Cent has been sued for promoting violence and crime by James Rosemond, a 14-year-old, who claims to have been assaulted by friends of the rapper.
James and his mother Cynthia Reed have filed a lawsuit on Wednesday alleging that Universal Music Group, G-Unit, Shady, and Interscope Records are liable for encouraging attacks like this.
Rosemond said he was assaulted last year by four guys, including Tony Yayo, and one his employees, because he was wearing a Czar Entertainment shirt.
“The members of G-Unit, including defendants Yayo and 50 Cent, encouraged, sanctioned, approved and condoned its members threatening violence, and or engaging in violent acts in furtherance of its business,” the lawsuit said, according to the Reuters news agency.
They’re saying that the attack was intended to promote Yayo and 50’s ‘gangsta’ image.
Yayo and his employee pleaded guilty to charges relating to the attack and his employee was sentenced to nine months in jail for child endangerment.
