Kanye West’s mother’s home is going to be sold

by on Jul.31, 2008, under articles

The home that belonged to Kanye West’s late mother Donda is facing foreclosure. Sources say that the estate is valued at $150,000 and she owed $600,000.

It’s up to Kanye if he wants to keep the home for sentimental purposes, but the home might be sold to recoup some of the bank’s losses.

If it holds any memories for him, he might keep it, but otherwise why bother. Let ‘em have it.

New Ali Lohan Video: All The Way Around

by on Jul.31, 2008, under articles

I found this music video by Ali Lohan for her song All The Way Around on LohanGroupie. I have to say, I’ve definitely heard worse. I think she’s way better than Brooke Hogan or the craptastic Miley Cyrus.

What do you think?

Britney Spears’ conservatorship might not end tomorrow, as planned

The attorneys involved in the conservatorship over Britney Spears are going into to court tomorrow, and unfortunately for Brit, they’re not trying to let the conservatorship end.

TMZ reports that Jamie Spears will not actually be making an appearance in court tomorrow, but his attorney will. They’re going to be asking the court to extend the conservatorship throughout the fall.

Maybe Jamie likes being paid the $2500 a week? I dunno, but lately Britney seems less crazy, if that’s possible. She has already given up on custody of the kids and is paying Kevin Federline $22,000 a month in child support. What more do they want from her?

She seems like a saint now compared to the likes of Amy Winehouse.

Amy Winehouse’s mother says she’s not on drugs – Was her drink spiked with Ecstasy???

Amy Winehouse on drugs?

Files this one under: I’m not buyin’ it.

Janis Winehouse says Amy’s not on drugs. Yeah, okay, and the sky isn’t blue either, right?

Janis claims that Amy being rushed to the hospital was simply a matter of human error:

“The truth is that Amy ended up in hospital this week because she mixed up the medication she’s taking to help her come off drugs. She took a wrong tablet.”

And according to Janis, Amy’s recent scare with emphysema has really jolted her into steering clear of drugs:

“I really don’t think she’s using now,” she claimed. “Being diagnosed with the early stage of emphysema was a real jolt to her. A bit of a wake-up call.”

She added: “Mind you, I think she does have the odd sneaky cigarette. Give her a break, she’s not a miracle worker.”

Still not buying it! I mean, we all HOPE that she’s not using drugs, but given her track record and that of recent events, it’s just not likely. She’s having the odd sneaky drug fix, if you ask me.

UPDATE: According to Mitch Winehouse, Amy’s recent hospital run may have been due to someone spiking her drink with Ecstasy.

A source says, “Mitch is furious. He’s certain someone put E (ecstasy) in Amy’s drink – and he’s determined to get to the bottom of it. He’s convinced that one of her hangers-on was responsible and he’s waiting for a toxicology report to show what caused her to fit. If his suspicions are proved right, he wants someone to be punished. He is seriously unhappy for Amy’s flat being a stop-over for randoms and wants an end to it.”

Amy spiked her own drink. There, I put at end to the confusion. No complaint necessary, Mitch.

They set Crackie free today

by on Jul.29, 2008, under articles

After being rushed to the hospital yesterday for a supposed allergic reaction, Amy Winehouse was turned loose on the world earlier today.

Her rep, Chris Goodman, says, “She was taking a new [medication] as part of her anti-drug treatment program. And it was an adverse reaction to that new drug. You have to try different things but unfortunately this was not the right one.”

Suuuuuuure. I so believe that one.

She was said to have suffered a seizure and was taken to the hospital covered in a red blanket. Mitch needs to pull a Jamie Spears already and take control of his crackie before she dies.

Amy Winehouse has been hospitalized!

Amy Winehouse was rushed to the emergency room earlier today, according to her reps.

“Amy Winehouse suffered a reaction to medication at home this evening and was taken to the hospital. Doctors have advised that she will be kept under observation overnight and is likely to be released tomorrow,” the singer’s rep says.

The singer was taken by ambulance from her home to University College Hospital, her spokesman says.

There was quite the kerfuffle when the ambulance showed up for Amy. Her friends held up a blanket so that the paparazzi present couldn’t snap anything but her feet. I thought it useless to try and find those photos to post, because her feet are gross. And do you care about some nobody holding up a blanket? Me neither.

Courtney Love uses hypnotism to stay thin

Courtney Love has turned to a television hypnotist to help her stay thin.

She called on Paul McKenna to keep her weight down after going on a crash diet last year.

She says, “I’ve known Paul for years. I lost weight last year the old-fashioned way by dieting and living off protein shakes. But it was hard to stay disciplined. He’s brilliant and is totally responsible for me staying so skinny. Whenever I start to feel my resolve weaken, I go to Paul for another hypnosis session.”

Hope she doesn’t get too skinny again. She looked like Skeletor.

Amy Winehouse cuts herself to deal with drug withdrawal

by on Jul.28, 2008, under articles

According to her father, Mitch, Amy Winehouse has been cutting herself to ease the pain from drug withdrawal. Like we really believe Crackie is going through withdrawal.

Her father says, “(The self-harm has) more to do with Blake. He explained to me that when they’re going into withdrawal, if they cut themselves, it takes away the pain.”

Mitch also tells how his daughter, who is currently recording songs for a new album, uses these dark times to find inspiration for new tracks.

He adds, “She only writes songs from her personal experiences, and they’re all more or less painful. It’s a shame. But that’s the way she is. Amy can be creative when most other people would be checking into a hospice. When she can hardly stand up she’s got her books in front of her, scribbling away.”

What’s she gonna do now that Blake’s received his sentence and will be locked up for another year and a half?

Jay-Z questions rappers who keep it street

by on Jul.28, 2008, under articles

Jay-Z hates hearing how his fellow rappers “keep it hood”, because he says no one would voluntarily return to the ghetto.

He says, “I think it’s more important for me to be in touch with who I am than in touch with the streets, per se. Being in touch with the streets, keeping it real, that’s become a lie and a cliche. I’m not hanging on the corner in the Bed-Stuy. I hate it when rappers say, ‘I’m keeping it hood’ I’m llike, ‘Why? What do you mean? No one’s there by choice! You’re in the hood, by choice?!’”

Do you agree with Jay-Z?

The Game apologizes for Eminem “slur” in leaked song

by on Jul.25, 2008, under articles

The Game

The Game has denied attacking his friend Eminem in a new track that was leaked on the net recently, saying that the lyrics have been misinterpreted.

The song, My Life, was rumored to be taking a dig at Em, with these lyrics:

“All the pictures of me and Em, I burned them / So there ain’t no proof I walked through 8 Mile.”

He says now that the song was not about his Shady friend, but late D12 rapper, Proof. I aint buyin’ it, but he says this:

“When I originally wrote the song My Life, I was trying to think back on events that affected my life and how they changed me. I remember when Proof died vividly and now every time I think about going to Detroit I get depressed.

That is what I was trying to say in that verse and the more I looked at it I realized that people would take it the wrong way…the way they are taking it now that it leaked.”

Referring to the leaked tune, he adds, “This is not the version on my album, this is not the version that radio will get. Furthermore, I apologize to anyone who took this the wrong way as that was never my intention.”

What do you think? Was he dissing Em or talkin about Proof? Methinks it’s a case of not biting the hand that feeds?
