Keith Urban’s rep has confirmed that he is suffering from a slipped disc. The rep wouldn’t comment on how he got the injury, though. He’s not letting any back problems stop him from kicking a little country butt on stage, either.

He mentioned the injury to fans at a concert Saturday night, but was said to have “went on to deliver an enthusiastic performance.”

Get well Keith and try not to suck so bad. Maybe he should try his hand at some good old fashioned rock and roll?

Sebastian Bach fell on his butt while singing I Remember You

by on Aug.26, 2008, under articles

Sebastian Bach was performing the Skid Row hit, I Remember You at the Gibson Amphitheater on August 23rd.

The falling goodness happens at around 1:47 or so. Good on Bas for getting back up like nothing ever happened. It’s too bad his voice doesn’t sound as good as it used to.

The top five bands that I would erase from history

by on Aug.25, 2008, under articles

You know there are several bands out there that you would erase from history if you could. It might be the Backstreet Boys, for some, and rappers like DMX for others. Here’s my list:

I would have to start with 80′s one-hit wonder, Stryper. They only produced one really good hit and that was Honestly. They did their whole ‘yellow and black attack’ thing and was really just a blemish on the entire music scene.

Michael Sweet (and the fact that I know his name scares me) had his little fluffy ‘do and headband and sang whatever message about God that he was trying to inflict upon us. Run. Now.

Gone! Next up would be EMF. Another one-hit wonder and they suckkkkkkkked. Their only contribution was a song called Unbelievable and it was so freaking annoying. That song always made me cringe every time I heard it. “You’re unbelievable! Oh!” Jesus, someone please stab me in the eye with a fork already.

This song got way too much airplay in the 90′s. What have they done for you lately?

Next up on the chopping block would be the Fine Young Cannibals. Why, you may ask? Just because.

Have a listen and then see if you can still ask that:

That was the epitome of suck in a song that really sticks in your head. Sorry about that.

Rick Astley is next on my list. He was brought back to fame when everyone started Rick Rolling each other. It was never really that good in the first place. He sounded too throaty and his music makes me wanna kill myself. Thanks mom for all of those neverending Rick Astley songs. I’ll sleep easy when he’s gone.

Yech.

And last up, I’d wipe out Metallica after they came out with And Justice For All….Why, cuz they lost their groove. They were so metal and then Lars Ulrich had to open his mouth about Napster and look like a total douchebag. They haven’t put out anything since Justice that is worth listening to. Metallica is dead to me, musically, but I’ll still report on the stupid crap that they do.

That’s a good song right there…..all else is not the Metallica that I grew up with and came to love/hate.

Who’s on your list?

A cop pulled a gun on Diddy

by on Aug.25, 2008, under articles

An L.A. cop pulled a gun on Sean Combs during a routine traffic stop on Saturday. A member of his entourage was pulled over at 3:15 a.m. on Sunset Strop after the fuzz realized the car he was driving did not have the proper tags.

A member of the entourage reportedly became uncooperative and was detained by police, prompting Diddy to see what was up. So he approached the officer.

The Sheriff’s department’s mouthpiece says, “A deputy pulled his firearm, fearing for his safety. The situation was deflated as quickly as it began.”

Diddy’s spokesperson says the cops didn’t pull the gun directly on Diddy and they were really respectful.

No one was hurt. (Read: Boring boring boring.)

Madonna in Cardiff for her Sticky & Sweet tour

by on Aug.24, 2008, under articles

Are you looking forward to seeing Madonna this time around? I mean, you know she’s getting up there in years. She might have to call it quits soon. She’s wearing knee high boots and some swimsuit lookin’ getup. That looks like something Britney Spears would wear this year to the VMAs.

Right??

New Video: Demi Lovato – Get Back

by on Aug.23, 2008, under articles

My nine-year old Justin knows who Demi Lovato is, so I figured I’d see if she sucks…..well, she’s not half bad. Even better than that catastrophe that is Miley Cyrus. He says Miley sings way better, but I beg to differ.

Just goes to show you, kids can be brainwashed by the machine that is Disney.

Team Demi or something.

Da Brat got 3 years for hitting that chick in the head with a bottle

by on Aug.22, 2008, under articles

Da Brat
[Image Credit: Heka Media via Flickr]

Da Brat was tossed into jail for three years for hitting some broad in the face with a bottle at a party in Georgia.

She pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and the judge threw the book at her. Her victim, Shayla Stevens, caught the wrong end of a Rum bottle which resulted in a large scar face. Heh. (Yes, I went there, but what do you want, it’s midnight.)

I don’t feel bad for da brat, she should’ve known not to hit that chick in the face with a bottle.

That brings a song to mind…check it out….

I don’t fight
I don’t argue
I just hit that chick with a bottle

Okay, I’m delirious now, it’s bedtime.

Celine Dion has received an honorary degree from Canadian university, Universite Laval, yesterday in acknowledgement of her personal and professional achievements.

Dang. Why don’t they pass that crap out to those of us that might actually use it. Nope, instead they’d rather give that special piece of paper to someone who is a successful singer, but has never even finished high school.

Way to go, Canada! And while we’re at it, please keep Avril. Thanks in advance.

50 Cent has denied any reports that he is attempting to stall the police investigation into the suspicious fire that was set on his mansion in New York. It was said that Fiddy was frustrating cops with his lack of cooperation in the case.

His mouthpiece says that Fiddy has been ‘compliant’.

The statement reads: “50 and his attorneys met yesterday with Suffolk County authorities regarding the fire that destroyed 50′s house. The meeting had been arranged weeks ago. 50 is eager to review the findings of the investigation, when it is concluded.”

His ex, Shaniqua Tompkins accused 50 of setting the fire himself….but he was shooting a movie….

Not an entirely huge fan of Sheryl Crow anymore. But she is giving away her crap album Detours if you register three friends to vote. I’m already registered, so thank God I wouldn’t have to put up with that stuff.

Now, I must go tend to a bee sting that I randomly got while driving on the freeway. Grr..

Paula Abdul has surgery on her neck

[Image Credit: Alan Light via Flickr]

Paula Abdul has undergone surgery on her neck to relieve pain that she has suffered for the past 20 years.

I imagine she wanted to get this over and done with before the American Idol season started. You know they’re giving her wonky butt some cracked out medicine. All the better for us. I’d also love to know what’s in her Coke cup when she’s on the show.

A source tells the National Enquirer, “Paula wasn’t about to begin another season of Idol living in constant pain. Auditions for the show begin in New York at the end of August, and she wanted to make sure she was feeling her best before hitting the road.”

Let’s hope the vicodin trainwreck express is boarding!

by on Aug.21, 2008, under articles

Jesus, can you say that five times fast?

Gwen Stefani was admitted into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center earlier today and gave birth to baby BOY Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale.

Where on Earth did they get that name from?!?? I know that Kingston is the capital of Jamaica, where they reportedly conceived the little guy, but good lord, why torment these poor kids?

Congratulations to the happy couple, for coming up with a name more dumber than Pilot Inspektor. Just when I thought that wasn’t possible.

It was reported that people were doing some price fixing nonsense at the PunchBowl in Mayfair where Madonna and Guy Ritchie own shares.

According to sources, they were changing the prices for tourists, making them higher, and lowering them for locals.

They’ve been cleared, however….so it’s all good.
