Beyonce is “so over being a pop star”

Beyonce wants to be known for being more than “just” a pop star. She wants to be an icon!
She says that she’s “over” living life as a pop star and doesn’t want to be known as the “hot girl”. She wants to aim higher than bubblegum pop hits and film roles in Austin Powers and Dreamgirls.
She says, “I’m over being a pop star. I don’t wanna be a hot girl. I feel like I’ve accomplished a lot (and) I feel like I’m highly respected, which is more important than any award or any amount of records. I feel like there comes a point when being a pop star is not enough.”
Girlfriend wants to be a legend, albeit like Aretha Franklin or something.
She’s determined to become an icon and a legend and feels that her new role as Etta James will help in accomplishing that.
She says, “I’ve been saying for a long time that I wanted to do something dark. People are going to be very shocked. It’s the
complete opposite of me. It was very emotionally draining. I was exhausted.”
Well you go girl!
