Computer gaming tycoon Greg Thomas paid Pete Doherty the sum of $30,000 for a gig, in Pete Doherty’s front room. Greg and his wife had flown 6,000 miles from California, to get a personal show from the Babyshambles frontman.

What was crazy about this is that when the hour came for Petey to perform, he was barely able to stand. Rather than demand his money back or get angry about the fact that his idol couldn’t perform, the couple waited seven hours for Pete to sober up enough to perform.

The gig should’ve started at 9pm, but they waited until 4am until the singer did his show.
