Marilyn Manson: “I would get the school shootings Grammy”

Marilyn Manson

Shock rocker Marilyn Manson usually gets the blame when teens go wild and shoot up schools, etc. He has insisted that if there were a Grammy to be had for school shootings, it would likely be his. He said that he gets too much bad press after it emerged that those who committed mass murders were fans of his music.

He says, “For Marilyn Manson, it seems to have become about the death toll, because we get blamed for every act of violence. “They don’t have a Grammy award for school shootings, but I guess I would get one if they did, whether I asked for one or not.”

I know and you know that Marilyn Manson is not the reason for these kids to run out and shoot a ton of people. Music censors are always looking for a scapegoat. Remember what happened to Ozzy?

    He is speaking the truth, if anyone can give a truly good reason why Marilyn Manson is the cause of such events, i will bow down before them and call them god… people can’t make other people pull the trigger, especially when the shooter doesn’t even recognize the “influence” as an influence. The killers didnt even listen to Marilyn Manson, so fuck anyone who tries to say that he was an influence of any kind on that event especially. I’m not sticking up solely for Marilyn Manson, though i love his music and philosophy, I’m sticking up for all our rights as Americans to say what we fucking want, when we fucking want to say it. Anyone who wants to disagree can freely do so, though i dont see much of an opposing argument…

    This is pointless. How can people blame Marilyn Manson for someone deciding of their own free will to go out and shoot someone? They are putting their blood on his hands. Maybe if they stoped blaming people who are more Successful then they are they could acctualy solve the problem instead of shifting it too one man.

    Everyone knows that you perfect what you practice. This would include the recorded messages which are in the lyrics to music that are received into the subconscious minds of the young & vulnerable. If you put music out there that can influence minds then i reckon take responsibility. Any recording artist can deny it. Manson is a self proclaimed satanist.

    There was once an experimente proving that it affected the behavior and the news went around the worl . BUT IT WAS LATELY PROVEN THAT THE RESULTS WERE FRAUDULENT.
    Most people believe it but the real thing is that this story about people being brainwashed is based on a LIE.
    The same lies that assured onec that the shooters were fans of Marilyn Manson. Later they discovered that the killers even hated Manson´s music.
    But it was TOO LATE they´ve had already treated Manson like an scapegoat and a lot of people still believe that lie as being absolutely true.
    Lazy people who doen´st care about making some research and finding the truth becasue they are perfectly comfortable putting the blame on someone they just don´t like for the way he looks.
