Paris Hilton’s BFF Brittany Flickinger’s New Song
by Roberta Ferguson on Jan.25, 2009, under articles
Paris Hilton’s soon-to-be shunned BFF Brittany Flickinger has put out a song. I thought 2008 was the year of the vocoder. It’s not a bad song, per se, but I’d love to hear what kind of crap she spews without the aid of electronics.
This song will not go over well at the clubs. She’s no Lady Gaga, that’s for sure. What do you think?
New Music: Lady Gaga Featuring Kalenna – ‘Kaboom’
by Roberta Ferguson on Jan.23, 2009, under articles
First of all, I’ve never heard of Kalenna. I’ve listened to this reported song of Lady Gaga’s, but can’t hear her in it all. It was said that she was singing part of the chorus, but I can’t hear it. Can you?
Either way, this song sucks. Thoughts? If Lady Gaga sang it, it might’ve sounded better, but that’s just my opinion.
Christina Aguilera’s ‘Falling In Love Again (Can’t Help It)’
by Roberta Ferguson on Jan.23, 2009, under articles
Christina Aguilera covered “Falling In Love Again (Can’t Help It) for the movie, “The Spirit”. The song was originally done by Marlene Dietrich for her 1930 movie, “Blue Angel”.
I’m digging her version of the song, it sounds great. Slow and sultry enough to listen to on a relaxing night in. What do you think?
Controversy Surrounding American Idol Contender Joanna Pacitti?
by Roberta Ferguson on Jan.22, 2009, under articles
Dang. Girl’s got some pipes! She tore that song up! Pat Benatar most-likely approves. But there is only one problem, Joanna Pacitti is already established in the music business.
She had already been signed to a record deal with A&M Records and has a record through Geffen called “This Crazy Life” from 2006.
Here, she talks about the album:
Here’s the song that she did with Britney Spears for “Circus”, called “Out From Under”:
And finally, here’s “Watch Me Shine” which was featured on the soundtrack to “Legally Blonde”:
Too much experience to become America’s next Idol? What do you think? She could probably win easily, she’s got a good voice. Thoughts?
Kanye West Denies Wanting To Do Porn
by Roberta Ferguson on Jan.22, 2009, under articles

It was rumored earlier that Kanye West was into doing some freaky stuff. He reportedly had ambitions to do bisexual porn, according to AVN.
He has taken to his official site to dispute the rumors, of course, in all caps:

50 Cent Performs ‘In Da Club’ For Jim Carrey
by Roberta Ferguson on Jan.22, 2009, under articles
This is way too funny not to share. 50 Cent was at Sundance promoting his Vitamin Water when he got up on stage and brought Jim Carrey up there with him. Fiddy started rapping, “In Da Club” for Jim’s birthday.
It’s too funny. Someone didn’t tell Jim that white boys can’t dance….LOL
Kanye West Wants To Do Bisexual Porn?
by Roberta Ferguson on Jan.22, 2009, under articles

Say what? Yes, Kanye West said that he’s open to doing bisexual scenes for porn. Have you eaten lunch yet? I’m sorry if you have, because this quote might make you want to gag.
Kanye sez, “I know people will find that as another thing to hate me on, but f*ck it. I’m open to doing porn. Hell, I’ll even do bisexual scenes – myself, another man and a woman, or just me and two women. I know people will find that as some weird sh*t, but I am who I am.”
Earlier this month, Kanye said that he would like to pose naked. Kanye’s crazy.

Stephen Colbert’s Remix Challenge
by Roberta Ferguson on Jan.22, 2009, under articles

Two weeks ago, Stephen Colbert interviewed Lawrence Lessig about copyright laws. He joked that when he wants to listen to a song again, he buys the entire CD again. People were already starting to remix the interview, and, thus the Remix Challenge was born.
Stephen Colbert announced on The Colbert Report last night that he does NOT want you to remix his interview with Lawrence Lessig. Check out the video above, he’s just too funny for words.
Can you put Stephen’s words to a bumping dance beat?
A commenter at Colbert Nation said that we should NOT upload our remixes here.
You can listen to and view the other remixes here.

Lily Allen – New Songs From ‘It’s Not You, It’s Me’ Leaks
by Roberta Ferguson on Jan.22, 2009, under articles

Three new songs have leaked from Lily Allen’s new album, “It’s Not You, It’s Me”. They’re called “Fag Hag”, “Kabul Sh*t”, and “22″. Have a listen before they get yanked from Youtube. If they do, you can check out the leaked songs here.
Enjoy!
“Fag Hag”:

“Kabul Sh*t”:
I have to say, “Fag Hag” is my favorite of the three. I think she’s poking fun at Katy Perry and her “You’re So Gay” nonsense.

Malaysian Officials Still Want To Ban Rihanna
by Roberta Ferguson on Jan.21, 2009, under articles

Islamic leaders in Malaysia are still trying to ban Rihanna from performing in Kuala Lumpur. She’s already promised to tone down her performance and adhere to their rules, so why all of the drama???
Now the Pan-Malaysian Islamic (PAS) party says that her performance, which is planned for February 13th, would be an insult to Asian values.
The PAS has urged the authorities to reject Rihanna’s application to perform there. The organization is basically saying that ticket buyers are contributing to our economy here in the states.
A source says, “Whether Rihanna realizes it or not, we know that the taxes she has paid also contributed to the war in Gaza.”
WTF? Really???? Obviously, she couldn’t call up George Bush and tell him not to use our tax money anyway he wants.

Kara DioGuardi Snaps At Simon Cowell During Kai Kalama’s Audition
by Roberta Ferguson on Jan.21, 2009, under articles
Kai Kalama was auditioning for the judges, singing The Platters song, “Smoke Gets In Your Eyes”. He did a decent enough job to get through to Hollywood.
My favorite moment was when Kara DioGuardi snapped at Simon when he asked, “yes or no?” He interrupted her while she was trying to speak and she was having none of it.
Beautiful. We need this sort of Type-A behavior to keep Simon in check. Ha.
Lily Allen Calls Perez Hilton A Misogynist
by Roberta Ferguson on Jan.21, 2009, under articles

Lily Allen is taking aim at celebrity blogger Perez Hilton and describes him as a “woman hater”.
Lily says that she supports equality for gay people and says, “I just feel you have no right hate anyone because of how they’re born. I think if you’re a human being with a heart in your chest, you’re the same as everyone else.”
Of Perez, she says, “I find him quite annoying…as a gay man you should be championing young girls that are going out there and doing their own thing and not slamming them for owning their sexuality and calling them sluts. When he’s happy he’s good and when he’s sad about himself he’s really horrible – about everyone. He’s a woman hater but I think that’s something to do with his own self-loathing. So much of what he does is bullying.”
On a side note, WTF is on her head?

Jonas Brothers Release Official Video For ‘Tonight’
by Roberta Ferguson on Jan.20, 2009, under articles

Teen trio The Jonas Brothers have released their official video for “Tonight” via their Youtube channel.
The video is all just clips of previous performances, but I think they would’ve done better to put a real video together for the song. Just my opinion. What do you think?

Lily Allen Sends Topless Text To Wrong Person!
by Roberta Ferguson on Jan.20, 2009, under articles

File this under: Oops! Dumb!!
Lily Allen accidentally sent a text message of herself topless to Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson.
Ricky said, “I got this weird text the other day from Lily Allen of her topless. And I’m looking at it going ‘why has she sent me that?’!” A minute later, she followed up the message with, “Sorry – wrong Ricky!”
Ricky said that he later asked Lily about it and she said, “That was really embarrassing. I was completely topless.”
Lily Allen also covered The Clash’s “Straight To Hell”, which you can listen to below:
Love her music. Thank God she’s not a one-hit wonder.

Who knew Robert Pattinson sings? Not I, apparently. He contributed two songs for “Twilight“, “Never Think” and “Let Me Sign”.
He sounds as pretty as he looks. He’s got a little bit of a John Mayer sound to him. Check out more of Robert Pattinson’s music here.

Miley Cyrus & Nick Jonas Hug – Awkward?
by Roberta Ferguson on Jan.20, 2009, under articles

This is a fan video of the Kids Inaugural Party (yes they had one, and why? I dunno) and the commentary is from the girl with the camera. The Jonas Brothers are all on the stage along with the rest of the Disney kids.
Awkward hugging incident happens at 1:10, so you can skip this annoying girl’s mouth. You can tell Miley Cyrus was digging that hug. Just goes to show ya, no matter how much money you have, you can’t always get what you want.
Obama is already healing the nation, one tweenybopper at a time.

Brooke Hogan Covers ‘My Life Would Suck Without You’ By Kelly Clarkson
by Roberta Ferguson on Jan.20, 2009, under articles

Brooke Hogan wants all of us to know that she’s a good singer. So, she took Kelly Clarkson’s song and tried to sing over it. What actually occurred was this mangled mess of a song:
Must I quote Kara DioGuardi talking to the bikini girl? “That’s a big song, sweetie, and you just don’t have the chops for it.”
