Def Leppard’s song, “Pour Some Sugar On Me” made a cameo in the new T-Mobile commercial. Yes, I guess there’s someone you can call to give you the proper lyrics to the song. Nice.

Bikini Girl Katrina Darrell Auditions For American Idol
by Roberta Ferguson on Jan.14, 2009, under articles
This was too funny. I didn’t watch American Idol yesterday (or any other day really), but this girl, Katrina Darrell, auditioned in a bikini. She started busting out with “Vision of Love” by Mariah Carey and just about murdered it.
Simon quickly said yes to her and Randy soon followed. New judge Kara DioGuardi didn’t have anything nice to say, which means she’s my second favorite judge already. Kara started singing the song and told Katrina that she doesn’t have the chops to sing a song like that. Honesty, finally!
Maybe they brought in Kara so that Simon wouldn’t always look like the bad guy. Anyways, even though this girl wasn’t that good of a singer, she got through to Hollywood, thanks to Paula Abdul. Even though she said later that the girl was terrible, she put her through. Kara said, “Next time come naked.” Loved it. Oh how I’ve missed the American Idol auditions.
Thanks Marie!

Britney Spears’ ‘If You Seek Amy” Radio Edit
by Roberta Ferguson on Jan.13, 2009, under articles

Britney Spears’ camp released the radio edit for her rumored next single, “If You Seek Amy”.
They make it obvious that she’s trying to sneak the f-bomb into her song without actually saying it. Anyone else wouldn’t have been the wiser, but the edit makes it obvious.

Courtney Love Will Let Her Fans Choose Their Own Price
by Roberta Ferguson on Jan.12, 2009, under articles

Courtney Love is going to follow the lead of Radiohead and allow her fans to choose the price to pay for her new album, “Nobody’s Daughter“.
She was due to release the album on January 1st, but it was pushed back to February. Courtney’s been busy putting the finishing touches on the album and wants us to pay what we want for it.
On her Myspace blog, she says, “”There’s millions of people worldwide waiting on this record. Well, maybe, there’s 10! But in any case, I assume there are millions because in the past there have been millions. My strategy is to make it available to people in every country for free and for what you feel I deserve…”

Kelly Clarkson’s New Album Actually Called “All I Ever Wanted”
by Roberta Ferguson on Jan.09, 2009, under articles

I previously reported that Kelly Clarkson named her upcoming album, Masquerade, but that’s not true. We’ve just seen the cover art for her new album, and it’s actually called All I Ever Wanted. I blame the Kelly fans, they need to keep up to date on this stuff.
Check out the album cover:
Doesn’t it remind you of Blackout? Just sayin’. Amazon also has a sneak preview of the song, for your listening pleasure.

The Dream – ‘My Love’ Featuring Mariah Carey
by Roberta Ferguson on Jan.09, 2009, under articles
Off of their upcoming album, Love vs. Money, My Love’s single, “The Dream” has just been released today. It’s an R&B song and it features Mariah Carey!
What do you think? I’ve never heard of My Love before, so I guess she’s putting them on the map, to me. The song reminds me of something that would’ve been made in the 80′s or 90′s.
