Lady Gaga Performing ‘Just Dance’ On Jay Leno

by on Jan.09, 2009, under articles

Lady Gaga has been doing her rounds in an effort to pimp out her debut album, The Fame. So it was only natural that she went on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno and performed “Just Dance.”

Yes, she really sang. And it wasn’t half-bad!

What did you think? I was getting tired of artists not actually singing when they perform, so this is a refreshing change.

Lady Gaga’s Acoustic Version of Poker Face

by on Jan.07, 2009, under articles

After Lady Gaga had gotten some negative comments for sounding too digitized and using a vocoder, she took to the piano for an acoustic version of her hit, “Poker Face”.

It sounds really old school with the piano. I would much rather listen to the dance version of this song as opposed to this one. What do you think?

I’m going to be rockin’ this jam in the car asap. What do you think? And WHEN is Detox comin’ out already?

Pete Wentz is Paranoid

by on Jan.06, 2009, under articles

Pete Wentz says that he’s always paranoid and takes Xanax to calm his nerves and sometimes that doesn’t even work.

Pete also says that he struggles to control his anxiety and says that the medication he’s taking no longer helps.

He said, “I’m paranoid pretty much all the time. I can take three Xanax and not feel a thing.”

Maybe he should just talk to his doctor instead of talking to the press? Just sayin’.

Kelly Clarkson Names Her Next Album, ‘Masquerade’

by on Jan.05, 2009, under articles

Kelly Clarkson has released the name of her new album. It’s going to be called Masquerade and it will be released in North America on March 17 and her new single “My Life Would Suck Without You” hits the radio on January 19th.

I hope it’s better than “My December“, because I wasn’t all that thrilled with that. I’ve heard that it’s more like “Breakaway“.

Converse Grateful Dead Chuck Taylor Kicks

by on Jan.05, 2009, under articles

Image Used with Permission by Converse

Speaking of The Grateful Dead, Converse kindly sent my boyfriend a complimentary pair of these rockin’ kicks. And I do have to say, they hold the legacy of the group as it should be.

They were lookin’ pretty sweet and if you’re a Grateful Dead fan like we are, then you need to get the jump on these while they’re still in stock. They feature the skull logo and if you’re into your Chucks, then these are perfect for you. Buy them here.

Converse pays homage to The Grateful Dead as musicians who have changed the world of music featuring these shoes designed to honor the people who were known to disrupt the status quo. Luvs them.

Worst Auction Ever: The Big Bopper’s Used Coffin

by on Jan.05, 2009, under articles

And you might of thought this was a bad idea. The Motley Crue geeks got nothin’ on The Big Bopper’s kid. (Incidentally, if you don’t know who The Big Bopper is, please consult Wikipedia.)

Apparently, The Big Bopper’s body was exhumed and moved to a more visible location. With the family’s consent, forensic experts were also able to perform an autopsy on the 50′s singer.

Jay Richardson, the son of the legend, plans to sell the used 48-year-old casket on eBay to raise money for a musical show about his father to keep his memory alive.

What do you think? Think they’ll have any takers? Or is this just too morbid? Would you want to be the one that says, “I own The Big Bopper’s used casket”?

Miley Cyrus Not Sending Nearly Nude Photos Anymore In 2009?

by on Jan.02, 2009, under articles

I know you’re probably as tired of seeing Miley Cyrus’ mug as much as I am, so instead, I gift you with her boyfriend, Justin Gaston.

Miley was stopped by a videographer for HollywoodTV, and when asked what her new year’s resolutions would be, she said, “Eat healthy and exercise more”.

Watch the video clip:

Her resolution had nothing to do with sending nearly naked photos of herself in 2009, but that doesn’t mean that she won’t continue to do it.

Fall Out Boy’s New Video: America’s Suitehearts

by on Jan.02, 2009, under articles

This is Fall Out Boy’s new video for their single for “America’s Suitehearts“.

On the first time around, I really didn’t pay attention to the song, because the video was psychedelically creepy. Yes, Pete Wentz is in there somewhere, I think he played the girl? (Just kidding, I think.)

The song is actually quite decent and it didn’t make my ears bleed just yet.

Enjoy and I hope everyone had a Happy New Year!
