Bikini Girl Katrina Darrell VS. Kara DioGuardi Round Two

by on Feb.04, 2009, under articles

Katrina Darrell was pushed forward to Hollywood Week on American Idol because the guys were so infatuated with her “attire” at her audition. At Hollywood Week, she sang “Breathe” by Faith Hill.

It looked like new judge Kara DioGuardi was going to say something nice about her singing, but then it just went downhill from there.

How does this girl keep getting pushed through to each round? She doesn’t sound all that bad, but she’s picking the worst songs to sing for the type of voice she has.

Hopefully soon enough, we’ll be able to move this girl to the American Idol Rejects category of the site, it’ll be her new home. Bo Bice and Danny Noriega will keep her in good company.

Update: Katrina Darrell got the boot when it came to the group round. (I’ll start watching when it gets good, I promise.)

New Music: Miley Cyrus – “The Climb” Audio

by on Feb.04, 2009, under articles

I am no fan of Miley Cyrus, if you couldn’t tell by now. But this chipmunk keeps releasing music, so I’m going to keep covering it.

Here’s the latest crap that she’s spewed onto the internet for your listening pleasure (certainly not mine). The song is called “The Climb” and it’s from the Kids Inaugural Ball.

What do you think? Are you rushing out in droves to buy this song?

Here’s the very NSFW language of The Lonely Island Featuring T-Pain, doing their new song, “I’m On A Boat“. If you’re not sure who The Lonely Island is, they’re the ones responsible for this song.

If you’re at work, save yourself the trouble and put the headphones on.

The song appears on their upcoming album, “Incredibad” which comes out on February 10th.

Lady Gaga To Design Her Own Fashion Line

by on Feb.04, 2009, under articles

Lady Gaga has her sights set on releasing a fashion line aimed at teens. You know you want your 13-year-old daughter running around in something that looks like this, right?

She’s famous for making those catchy dance tunes, but some people need to step away from the design table, don’t you think?

Even though she told me that she designs her own stage outfits, maybe she should tone it down a bit for any fashion range that she plans for kids.

She says, “I can’t wait to do my own line. It’s definitely something I want to do in the next year as I do have my own style. I’m already talking to my boy Akon about it.”

Would you want to dress like Lady Gaga? I wouldn’t in the winter, that’s for sure.

Lily Allen Performs “The Fear” On GMTV

by on Feb.03, 2009, under articles

Lily Allen performed “The Fear” on GMTV yesterday. I think the song sounds remarkably like the studio version of the song, which leads me to believe that it might be lip-sync’d.

Have a listen and let me know what you think:

Live? Or is it what she calls “mimed”?

Christian Bale’s Rant Remixed

by on Feb.03, 2009, under articles

Christian Bale went off on the set of Terminator: Salvation when he was interrupted by Director of Photography, Shane Hurlbut. Instead of doing the nice thing and asking the D.P. to settle down, Bale goes off on the guy.

Check out the original rant (warning: language is very NSFW):

Now, here is the remix, done by Revolucian:

Both audios are very NSFW, remember it’s Christian Bale. He drops the eff bomb like Paris Hilton drops her money.

New Video: Lady Gaga “Eh Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say)”

by on Feb.03, 2009, under articles

This is Lady Gaga’s new video for “Eh Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say)”. This song is a lot less dance-infused as her previous singles, but I still like the song. It’s pretty good, even though it’s slower than what I’m used to from her.

What do you think of the song? Are you digging it?

Disney Looking To Layoff The “Least Cute” Jonas Brother?

by on Feb.03, 2009, under articles

Ouch! I guess that would cut below the belt! Apparently a source close to Disney says that they have seriously considered taking the layoffs to the “talent”. (Say Miley Cyrus, please someone say Miley)

Alas, no, it’s not Miley (much to my disdain). They’re reportedly looking to axe the “least cute” of the Jonas Brothers.

The insider says that the company has been “taking a hard look at ‘right-sizing’ the Jonas Brothers.”

The executive says, “If you’ve ever heard these guys live, it’s pretty clear singing isn’t necessarily their strong suit.” He adds that their vocals and enhanced and “it’d be just as easy to make two brothers sound as good – or as bad – as the three brothers sound now.”

Interesting! Sorry Kevin, get your things, you’re outta here!

Miley Cyrus Is Mocking Asian People

by on Feb.03, 2009, under articles

Miley Cyrus should really be ashamed of herself for this one. She’s sitting there, in a photo that’s been circulating the internet, along with Justin Gaston, doing the slanted-eyes thing with her fingers to mock people of Asian descent.

Shame, shame, shame. Bad chipmunk!

The OCA, a group who is “dedicated to advancing the social, political, and economic well-being of Asian Pacific Americans” has released a statement saying that the slanted-eyes photo is offensive and sets a bad example for her many fans. Basically they are asking for an apology and for Miley to learn why the gesture is so offensive.

That would mean that Miley has to learn something. And that’s just something that spoiled rich brats don’t do.
