Chris Brown was due in court today over “allegedly” beating the crap out of his girlfriend, Rihanna. The L.A. County District Attorney has stepped in and has just charged Chris with felony assault and making criminal threats.

The victim was cited as “Robyn F.”, which is Rihanna’s given name (Robyn Rihanna Fenty).

Chris is set to be arraigned today at 3:30 p.m. A spokesperson for the District Attorney’s office says that Chris could get a maximum of four years and eight months in the pokey for his actions.

That would be a long enough time for Rihanna to get over him and find someone else that won’t lay a hand on her. I hope they throw the book at that loser.

Donnie Wahlberg sat down to watch New Kids On The Block’s newest video, “2 In The Morning” for the first time and shared a little secret with all of us.

Firstly, he explained the video and what’s actually going on in it. His description was a little confusing (maybe I’m not fully awake yet), but I like it better when an artist leaves that up to the watcher or listener’s interpretations.

The secret he revealed is that we’ve already seen the good ending of the video, yet there will be another ending, a bad one.

I’m not trying to start a rumor or anything here, but Miley Cyrus was texting “an ex whose movie debuted at number two this weekend”. Anyone want to take a stab as to who that could be?

She was talking to John Jay and Rich, when she was said to be texting Nick Jonas. She told the host not to say who she was texting because her boyfriend, Justin Gaston, would get mad.

Jesse McCartney has just released his official video for his song, “How Do You Sleep”. The video also features Ludacris, and shows both of them on top of cars that are going fast.

I really like this song, however he does have a little bit of a boy band feel to him. He’s alright, in my book, considering that he’s hangin’ with Luda. Ludacris could give Holly Hobbie street cred.

Access Hollywood showed off some of their exclusive footage of Britney Spears doing her photo shoot for the 2009 Candies campaign.

Girlfriend is workin’ it like she’s 17 again. And I’m so thankful to the good folks at Candies and Access Hollywood for not showing ANY footage of Perez dressed up as the queen of stupidity.

I bet Britney was probably like, “I made him look like an idiot in front of the world and he fell for it.”

Seriously, I would’ve found an even worse costume for that clown to wear, for all of the trash talking he’s done to her. He’d have been the Queen of Poptarts with a box on his head, if it were up to me.

Candies.com has named Britney Spears their 2009 Candies Girl, so they are premiering a first look at Britney’s Circus Tour at 7pm tonight. Check out their website for more info on that, so you register and check it out for yourself.

A Static Lullaby covered Britney Spears’ song, “Toxic” for the “Punk Goes Pop 2” compilation. While I didn’t mind the cover song and video so much, what I didn’t like was the camera up the nostril angle. Seriously, guys, that’s not flattering to anyone, especially if you have a nose piercing.

I like the song done by them, though. It’s good and it sounds like Korn in certain parts. And since they’re not as popular just yet, that’s probably a really antiquated picture of the singer, but it was all I could locate. Would you rather have seen Britney’s mug?

There’s no sugar-coating what Chris Brown did to Rihanna right before the Grammy Awards last month, and there’s absolutely no excuse for that type of behavior. I know there’s been some Chris Brown fans saying that she “had it coming” for snatching his keys and throwing them out of the window, but I have to strongly disagree.

So much, in fact, that if a man did to me what he did to her, I’d say he’d have to sleep with one eye open. But, Rihanna’s father is going to support her, no matter what. While I can’t knock that too much, because you always don’t know the whole story and you want your parents to support your decisions in life, I’d say Ronald Fenty needs his head examined on this one.

He says he’s behind “whatever road she takes”, even after previously saying that they had broken up and he was pleased with that.

Ronald says, “I love my daughter with whatever road she takes. I’m behind her win or lose. I will be supportive. If that’s the road she wants to choose, I’m behind her. I hope to see her soon. I talked to her after her birthday, and she told me she’s okay.”

Apparently, Amy Winehouse feels that she has some unfinished business to attend to in London, because she has finally left her months long vacation in St. Lucia. Presumably, it’s to be with her “Blake No Longer Incarcerated”, even though he was said to have filed for divorce from the singer.

Or…maybe she’s staying away from Blake, for real.

A source says, “Amy has had a wonderful two months living the high life in St Lucia and, of course, she’s sad to be back to reality. But after getting her act together and staying off the drugs, she’s determined to stay clean. Camden holds a lot of bad memories – especially the time spent there with Blake. So while she was away her mum Janis went house-hunting on Amy’s behalf, looking at pads near her own. She found a Regency-style four-bedroom townhouse in a middle-class, suburban area in Barnet. Janis wants Amy close to her, so she can keep a strict eye on her daughter.”

Janis is a smart woman. As long as we can keep those two apart, the better the chances are that we’ll actually get an album from her sometime soon. Again, we can hope, right?
