Fan Arrested For Trespassing On Britney Spears’ Property (Updated)
by Roberta Ferguson on Apr.17, 2009, under articles

And the Circus continues!
A fan of Britney Spears was arrested Thursday morning for allegedly sneaking onto Britney’s private property in Calabasas, and reportedly peeping inside the windows of her house.
The woman was identified as Miranda Tozier-Robbins and was wearing camouflage fatigues and carrying a backpack and a video camera. Security noticed her trying to sneak around and asked her to leave. She “balked at their requests” and had to be escorted from the premises.
The Sheriff’s Department arrived on the scene and removed her from the property. She was booked for trespassing and disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $5,000 and she was released on a citation.
You can like Britney, but you can’t like her up close, at least not legally.

Lil’ Kim Was Driving Scott Storch’s Stolen Bentley
by Roberta Ferguson on Apr.17, 2009, under articles

Last year, Lil’ Kim had her Bentley repossessed. Unknown to the public at the time, was that the car she was driving actually belonged to music producer Scott Storch.
Storch’s lease on the vehicle was up in 2007, yet he kept the car from the leasing company. Instead of turning it in, he gave it to Lil’ Kim to drive. Storch was subsequently arrested and charged with grand theft auto for not returning the car, and the repossession company traced it back to Kim.
They took the car back from Kim’s residence in New Jersey, last May, causing a little bit of a fuss.
At that time, Kim’s publicist denied her ownership of the vehicle.
Her publicist argued the car didn’t really belong to the rapper anyway. “The car was a gift, given four years ago,” Tracy Nguyen said.
Storch is due to appear in court on May 29th, with Kim expected as a witness in the case.
I’ve had some experience with putting vehicles out for repossession and I wasn’t aware that it was legal to make the situation public. According to the Privacy Act, bank personnel and repossession companies are prohibited from releasing information like this to the public or any unauthorized third parties.
In addition to that, the leasing and/or repossession service may be liable due to the public humiliation this may have caused. But one could argue that Kim doesn’t have a right to privacy because it wasn’t her lease.
I’ll be interested to see how this one plays out.

Susan Boyle Sings ‘Cry Me A River’ – Audio
by Roberta Ferguson on Apr.16, 2009, under articles

The Daily Record unearthed this goodie featuring Susan Boyle singing “Cry Me A River“.
This recording was made in 1999 for a charity and only 1,000 copies were pressed.
So amazing!
I sincerely hope that she gets a record deal, her voice is so smooth and sultry. If I were Simon, I would have stopped “Britain’s Got Talent” right then and there and declared her the winner.
Their reactions of her prior to her performance were less than believing and downright rude. But when she belted out “I Dreamed A Dream”, all bets were off. You go girl!

Matt Giraud Saved By The Veto On American Idol
by Roberta Ferguson on Apr.16, 2009, under articles
On American Idol last night, Matt Giraud was about to get the axe, when the judges pulled together to exercise their only veto for the entire season.
I thought his performance of “Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman” was totally forgettable. His version of the song makes the baby Jesus cry.
What this means is that two contestants will be sent home on next week’s show. Let’s hope he was worth it.
Think they made a mistake? Or maybe the song choice just wasn’t right for him?

According to sources, Pink and her former husband, Carey Hart, are getting set to tie the knot again. Were they ever apart?
The couple have been separated for 14 months, but rumor has it that they are planning on remarrying in a small ceremony at their Malibu home.
A source says, “It will take place in early summer and will be very simple and small, with just their family and a few close friends. They’ve always had a bond, but they needed time apart to realize that they wanted to continue their marriage.”
How sweet! Congrats to them!
