Danny Gokey Sent Home On ‘American Idol’

Tonight, it was down to Danny Gokey, Adam Lambert, and Kris Allen.
Last night, Danny sang “Dance Little Sister” and “You Are So Beautiful”. Kris Allen wowed the viewers with his version of Kanye West’s “Heartless” and “Apologize” by One Republic.
America has voted! Danny Gokey is out!! Someone heard my pleas to send this guy home!

I think Danny Gokey is outstanding and I am so glad he is not in the final. Why – because it takes him out of the gutter slinging abuse that so many of you take pleasure in. I live in Australia and tune in to watch because of him – his soul, his voice and he is a pleasure to listen to. I am sure he will put an album out and I will buy it. I cannot believe the way people like you have abused him – why? Based on what? He is a great singer, so is Kris, so is Adam – but of all of them I would be most likely to listen to either Danny or Kris on a cd – Adam is a great entertainer but his voice is too shrill and is not my taste. So that is a polite way of discerning my preference – not the disgusting way I have read people referring to Danny for no reason. Hopefully Danny is in tune with the fact he is better off not in the final and free to pursue his future unencumbered rather than being denigrated any further – good luck to the finalists and for those haters out there turn the mirror on yourselves and ask why you hate for no reason.

Thank you VickiJ, I couldn’t have said it better myself. I have loved Danny from the very first time I heard him during the auditions and Chris has always been a close second. As for Adam he needs to stick to broadway. I find him to be very fake and his voice is WAY TO SHRILL. To me he always sounded like a cat being skinned. I guess I like the more soulful singers.

Danny has a voice and he’ll have a career, so whether he won in the end doesn’t really matter. Look at past winners and not all of them amounted to much compared to runners up. If Kris wins over Adam I’ll be very surprised because he’s boring, but the same applies. Adam doesn’t need to win the show to have a career.

I have mixed feelings right now. By one hand i’m really sad Danny was sent home, couse he is just amazing and i wanted him to make it to the finals and i think he really deserved. By the other hand i’m glad he went now, cause i’m pretty sure Adam will win, and being in the runner up position sucks. Anyway i wish him all the luck of the world and i think we’ll hear from him really soon. And congrats to the winner: Adam. With all the respect for Kris, who is a nice singer, he’s not even near being the econd best in this whole competition.

And your plea is based on what? Singing? I very much doubt it! Adam Lambert screeamed for most of his two performances and should have been sent back home instead of a true singer like Danny Gokey.
Adam, another affirmative action winner? Nearly all the time, his singing is mostly just screaming!!

I am a major fan of Kris. But, I think Danny should have been in the finals and that the only reason Kris got in is because either his physical appearence or his verision of “Heartless” was really hot. I also think that Adam should deserve to win. Many people aren’t voting for him because they think he’s gay. But, this is a singing competetion.

Adam Lambert screams, yea right, I would like you to show me some one that can hold a not that long By the way that isn’t screaming it is by far talent!!!!!!!! Kris is such a weak singer; remember it is about talent not looks!
