Winners are already scalping their Michael Jackson funeral tickets on eBay
Michael Jackson’s funeral seems to really be the hot item to get ahold of. 8,750 pairs of tickets were being randomly given away by the Staples Center to Tuesday’s event.
Out of curiosity, I checked eBay earlier to see if there were any listings for tickets, and lo and behold, there was one lone auction, which had 12 bids and a total of $516.00 bid.
I’ve gotten my denial email:
Thank you for your registration.
Sorry, we regret to inform you that your registration to attend the Public Memorial Service for Michael Jackson was not selected.
Hundreds of thousands registered, but only a few can be in attendance.
Were you one of the lucky ones to nab tickets? If so, please share your stories here.

At this point, $516 is a reasonable amount. I saw two auctions over 88 thou, and one over 100k. I wanted a ticket as a momento but the website crashed when I attempted to register. Then when I saw the conditions I said forget it.

That’s too bad!!! Would you consider selling them? If so, I might be interested.
Thanks, Cari

Don’t sell the tickets. Stop exploiting the poor guy. Give the tickets to a real fan that would appreciate them. The poor man has been exploited since he was a child. Anyone who wants to buy the memporial tickets should save the money to buy a CD or DVD, and at least his kids will get a chunk of that, instead of helping a bastard scalper. Get an ounce of shame dirty scalpers.

The Staples Center has 20K capacity, yet AEG only gave away 11K worth of tickets. I duobt there are 9,000 celebrities in total to hold tickets for, so you can bet AEG is right alongside the eBay sellers making a killing on tickets right now.
It’s almost comical that even in death MJ will once again be exploited.

I don’t have a job and waiting for my unemployment insurance denial to be corrected, so I have no extra money. I was born in 1960, so I grew-up with Michael and I always believed in his innocence! If anyone wants to part with a ticket to a true fan, I am here to recieve a gift from your heart…thank you :)

Never had a chance to get one. Live in Canada. Too late to go even if I had one.
Jybrn – would love to have ONE if you’re serious in giving away as you stated!
