Coverage of Michael Jackson’s funeral / memorial

posted by roberta — Jul 7th, 2009

The celebration of Michael Jackson’s life begun at the Staples Center in Los Angeles at 11am PST, on a clear July Tuesday in balmy weathered California. What amazing coverage of the funeral/memorial (CNN has all the videos broken down by presenter):

RIP Michael.

UPDATE: Well, the official memorial is over (we’ll put archival footage in place here as we find it). Now for non-stop chattering by the news media for the next six hours while absolutely nothing new happens (bonus: lots of cameras, and crowds of unemployed at the Staples Center who decide to stick it out and play up to the media circus).

  1. I think Kobe Bryant or Magic Johnson just gave MJ credit for their b-ball skills. I knew the guy could dance… but now we learn he could dunk and drain 3-pointers from half court!

Or maybe the hyperbole is off the charts.
