According to french website La Provence, Madonna’s stage has collapsed, killing one person, seriously injuring two, along with sending four others to the hospital.

The concert was set to take place on Sunday at the Velodrome stage. One of the four winches being used to hoist the structure’s roof, collapsed, while being constructed. It reportedly crushed the passage of one of the cranes.

A resident said, “The crane held the large metal pillars of the stage. Part of the scene was already built and the chain either released, or the pillars were badly attached, they fell on the remainder from the scene and the lawn. It made a noise like an explosion and it fell like a house of cards.”

The town hall has just announce that the concert has been canceled for now.
