Famous people attract the media. Anyone related to those famous people will be seeked out for information. Its just the way things work.</p> <p>And in my opinion I think its obvious the breakup had a lot to do with it. If you look at the big picture, it was his depression and trauma that caused it because like someone else said, someone who is mentally healthy can handle a bad breakup, but he wasn't. But, if you pay attention you'll know that the breakup did hurt him.</p> <p>When they found him both his apartment and bedroom doors were shut and barricaded by big objects. Its as if he didn't wanna be disturbed at all. He OD'd on oxycontin and crack. I think he was smart enough to know that that was a bad combo and had to the potential to kill him, but he did it anyway. Also, nearby his body they found a Valentine's Day card from Hayley as well as a picture of her. DJ AM clearly had issues with depression, serious issues that he kept hidden, and the break up was probably the straw that brokes the camels back. With that said, the break up is NOT 'reason' he ended his life. People who are mentally healthy can handle a break up without swallowing a bottle full of pills or hurting themselves in some other manner. DJ AM had an illness, depression, and many suffer from this- the key is to identify the signs early so the lives of good people, like DJ AM, are not lost.
