Queen Latifah wants female rappers
Queen Latifah wants to find the next best female rapper and bring her on tour with her.
Latifah feels that there is a lack of talent in the area of female rappers and wants to give a lady the chance to prove to the world that she has what it takes.
She says, “In my entire career…never has it been so male dominated as it is right now. I would be doing an injustice if I don’t try to help bring up the next up-and-coming female rappers. It’s just not right to have hip hop with no female voices anymore. There was Lyte, Salt N Pepa, Lil’ Kim, Foxy Brown, Missy…Eve, and now there’s like one person, maybe. So far I have 25 dates booked, 25 different cities, and so I want to discover the new female rapper or the new female rap group.”

And it’s so sad because these female rappers trash about 95% of these dudes. They just don’t have the right exposure or people backing them right now. So kudos to Latifah for trying to make that happen.
