Wow...people have been harsh on you! Goodness!

I just wanted to say thank you for writing such a balanced review; I bought the CD based on your review and I LOVE it! I really enjoyed Dreaming Out Loud and I was worried that Onerepublic would fall into the "sophmore slump", but they fortunately haven't done so.

Anyway, thank you for this review!

I’m surprised by your choices. I can’t believe you said “Marching On” was the worst track. I personally think it is the best of them all. I actually don’t really like all the right moves or Everybody Loves Me. One aspect of the album you didn’t talk about is the fact that songs drastically change. “Missing Persons 1 & 2″ started out great, but I really don’t think that the switch was a good idea. Songs should be consistent throughout, or changed masterfully. I have one last comment to make: I really think that you are being SEVERELY harsh to Kris. Deleting all future comments is just mean on account of it only being one comment. And it may have sounded harsh, but I think it’s an opportunity to improve.

p>Thanks Roberta for a much more balanced review than most that actually bothers to comment on tracks individually. A lot of reviewers are just happy to pigeon-hole OR as bland and formulaic without giving them credit for the time they have spent in the business and effort they put in. Great pop songs like All the Right . . .may not be overly original but they don't just grow on trees either. The pick though is Secrets which will be filling stadiums out for years to come. It's my song of the week and you can read my review at my link.
