After creating a mass hysteria (thanks to Brad and Joe), we’ve just learned that Steven Tyler will continue on as the mouthpiece for Aerosmith. Thank God for small favors!

The news started when Brad Whitford was quoted as saying that they may have to seek out another singer, along with Joe Perry whining that Steven doesn’t return his calls and blah blah blah.

Well, folks, none of it is true. Steven isn’t going anywhere and Aerosmith will remain intact. He took the stage while Joe was performing with his act, The Joe Perry Project and cleared the whole thing up.

Steven said, “I just want New York to know, I am not leaving Aerosmith. Joe Perry, you are a man of many colors. But I, motherfucker, am the rainbow!” Afterward, they jammed to Aerosmith hit “Walk This Way”.

Yes, Steven, you are the rainbow.
