ABC has said that the network has received over 1,500 calls in complaint regarding Adam Lambert’s performance from the American Music Awards last night.

The performance (view here) was seen as sexually themed with an S&M twist. Online commenters also complained at the show’s provocative nature. ABC said that the response was “moderate”, but Adam said that he wanted to break down the double standard between male and female performers.

It’s a shame that this is 2009 and people are still whining about TV performances. Get it together, guys. This isn’t the 1950’s and people need to be more accepting. You can’t tell me that you had your children watching this poor man’s Grammys….not and have me believe it anyways.
