Even though he started off with a rather lackluster performance, he brought in when he did his Jitterbug and Samba. It looks like the fans aren’t ready to see him go just yet.

Mariah Carey blames bosses for illegal downloads

by on Nov.17, 2009, under articles

mariah_carey_pink

R ‘n’ B singer Mariah Carey has lashed out at music industry bosses, blaming them for failing to spot the internet download trend.

Carey, 39, accused record labels of letting their artists down by allowing illegal file-sharing to become commonplace, and is adamant that bosses should have realized the potential of the Internet a long time before illicit song swapping became prevalent. She is also furious because the practice means many musicians lose out on precious royalty money. (continue reading…)

Buckcherry Frontman Josh Todd to replace Steven Tyler in Aerosmith?

by on Nov.17, 2009, under articles

josh_todd_replacing_steven_tylerEven though it’s been said that the guys in Aerosmith are not breaking up, Steven Tyler might be on hiatus from the band for an entire two years.

Joe Perry has said that the band still wants to play, so they may be looking around for replacements. In a new poll, “Rolling Stone” asked its readers who should replace the aged rocker. The readers responded that Buckcherry’s frontman, Josh Todd, would be an adequate replacement.

Here are their top five replacement selections:

1. Josh Todd (Buckcherry)
2. David Johansen (New York Dolls)
3. David Lee Roth
4. Iggy Pop
5. Adam Lambert

I don’t think anyone would be able to replace Steven Tyler. He’s unique, old school, and classic. To replace that would take away from the band’s signature sound. What do you think?

Whitney Houston to perform on ‘Dancing With The Stars’ finale

by on Nov.17, 2009, under articles

90715W8_HOUSTON_B-GR_01The stars are really coming out of the woodwork for the semi-finals and finals for reality dance show, “Dancing With The Stars”.

Joining the stars and their professional counterparts on tomorrow night’s finals announcement show are Alicia Keys and British songstress Leona Lewis.

Keys will be performing her song, “Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart” from her album, “The Element Of Freedom” (see the cover here). Lewis will also take the stage to perform her hit song, “Happy”, from her newly released album, “Echo”.

On the season finale of the show, on November 24th, Grammy award winning artist Whitney Houston will be performing. We haven’t received word yet as to her song choice, but we’ll hope that the performance will be better than last time on “X Factor”.

As far as I’m concerned, Whitney is the queen diva and cannot be dethroned. She’ll rock it.

70922c2_mya_b_gr_01Mya and Dmitry Chaplin have really come a long way on “Dancing With The Stars”. She’s been nothing but a very talented and energetic dancer.

On tonight’s semi-finals, they are doing the Waltz first. Mya’s dress was really pretty and they did a fine job. They received a total score of 28 and it was well-deserved. I can’t wait to see their next dance.

Video of the Waltz and more commentary, after the jump! (continue reading…)
