Rihanna’s ‘Russian Roulette’ video premiered today

by on Nov.13, 2009, under articles

Rihanna has just released her video for “Russian Roulette”! It sort of reminds me of “Halo” by Beyonce, with the beat….but I could be mistaken.

Did Ryan Tedder do this one, too?

Check out the video, after the jump! (continue reading…)

Someone call PETA, Rihanna’s wearing fur! – Photo

by on Nov.13, 2009, under articles

91113M1_RIHANNA_B-GR_03Oh I hate to be a tattle tale, but Rihanna was seen departing Paris via the Eurostar for her secret London gig — wearing fur.

Someone’s calling PETA (not me). But I do expect that they’ll see this and issue her a stern letter with some stupid puns about her “Rated R” wardrobe or some crap.

I know how much you pervs would rather she join their “I’d Rather Go Naked” campaign, but it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen anytime soon.

Robert Pattinson is afraid of releasing music?

by on Nov.13, 2009, under articles

91113Z5_PATTINSON_B-GR_01Robert Pattinson may have composed a couple of tunes for the “Twilight” soundtrack, but he says that he’s scared of releasing music. He doesn’t want to rule out the possibility of a career in music, but will only start singing pro, if his acting gigs dry up.

He said, “I do do a bit of singing but I don’t really release it. I’m too scared. Maybe one day. I think you can only concentrate on one or the other. Once I’m ready to do it, I’ll do it again, I’ll perform again.”

Beyonce’s bags get their own hotel room

by on Nov.13, 2009, under articles

90913A2_KNOWLES_B_B-GR_13Well it must be nice to be Beyonce and her luggage.

Apparently while in Britain earlier this week, she had to purchase another hotel room just for her belongings. She was reportedly staying at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester, but paid for an extra room for her clothes and accessories.

A source said, “She had seven suitcases, three hand-luggage bags, and two boxes, all for her mammoth gig. Beyonce doesn’t do things by halves – especially where her performances are concerned. So in the cases there were approximately 14 dresses along with numerous pairs of shoes. Another box was full of makeup and the other had about 25 wigs in it.”

All for just one show? Sheesh, that seems really excessive.

Lily Allen fell down a flight of stairs, still performs for charity

by on Nov.13, 2009, under articles

91105W3_ALLEN_B-GR_03Lily Allen is a saint. Not really, (after becoming the Dictator of Downloading) but in this one occasion, she did something that was very selfless.

Thursday, she fell down a flight of stairs and still managed to haul butt to perform “Hey Jude” with Paul McCartney, Take That, and Robbie Williams. She struggled through the show, which benefits Children In Need, and the show went on.

She should hire someone to carry her suitcase for her, so this doesn’t happen again. Kudos to her for still performing, even though she was injured.

Lady Gaga made ‘The Fame Monster’ cheaper for fans

by on Nov.13, 2009, under articles

fame_monster_cheaperAll praise Queen Gaga and her supply of neverending dance hits and fashion escapades. Lady Gaga has said that she’s taken steps to make sure her fans can afford “The Fame Monster”, because they have been so loyal to her.

She said, “We may have an economy, but music has no economy. I insist on honoring my fans with an affordable new album, an album that is as loyal to them, as they have been me…. In the midst of my creative journey composing ‘The Fame Monster’, there came an exciting revelation that this was in fact my sophomore album. I would not add, nor take away any songs from this EP. It is a complete conceptual and musical body of work that can stand on its own two feet.”

Leona Lewis is boring

by on Nov.13, 2009, under articles

91014W9_LEWIS_B-GR_05Leona Lewis recently rattled off in a new interview about her relationship issues with boyfriend of five years, Lou Al-Chamaa.

She said, “Well, we’re currently happy and together. It’s difficult sometimes, I won’t deny that, but we make it work. I’ve been through it – not all relationships are perfect. I don’t see us getting married for a long time yet, you really need to be certain with someone before you get married and, besides, my parents only married about four or five years ago so I just don’t believe you have to get married to be happy together.”

Are you bored yet? Because here comes the good part where she actually admits that she doesn’t care if people think she’s boring.

She added, “I still mess around when I’m with friends. But I haven’t got a lot of time and we’ve got so much to do, so my focus is for everything to look good. It’s irrelevant to me if people say I’m boring. They don’t know me as a person or what I’m like when I’m hanging out with my friends.”

Chris Brown collaborated with Soulja Boy Tell Em

by on Nov.13, 2009, under articles

91013M6_BROWN_B-GR_06Chris Brown is trying everything he can to pull his career out of the ashes, so it’s no wonder that he has a collaboration with Soulja Boy Tell Em on his new album.

Soulja Boy said, “My approach to it was, ‘if me and Chris Brown ever did a song together, it got to be the best song ever. When people hear it, it got to be automatic – be in all the kids’ heads, all the girls definitely got to love it, all the females got to love it. I was just thinking, ‘What are the slickest lines I could say to a female to make them fall in love with this record?’”

How about a sentence spoken in proper English? That might be a start. The grammar nazi in me had a really hard time typing out that quote. Seriously, pick up a book, please. Kthnxbye.

Brown said, “He could talk about, ‘I got my shoes on, I got my hat on, but I’m fresh though’, and it could be something funny. But it’s always something that can be catchy for kids, and I wanna do something that’s real cool for everybody.”

How about fading off into obscurity? That would work for me.

The song is reportedly on Brown’s upcoming album and it titled “Bad”. Is someone thinking they’re the next Michael Jackson with a song title like that? Michael was a legend, and with any luck, you may just be a footnote.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are making a comeback!

by on Nov.13, 2009, under articles

90118P8_KIEDIS_A_B_GR_02The guys in the Red Hot Chili Peppers have just announced that they are making a comeback.

After taking a break in 2008 after the release of “Stadium Arcadium”, the band plans to record a followup album. In May 2008, Anthony Keidis, said, “We’re disbanded for the moment. We actually took a very long time to make the ‘Stadium Arcadium’ record, it took forever. It was really a grueling, long haul and it followed two other very long hauls, ‘Californication’, and ‘By The Way’.

In light of that, the band returned to the studio last month to get started on their new album, which is yet to be titled. The group plans to release the album next year.
