Madonna gets the axe by Luis Vuitton

posted by roberta — Dec 15th, 2009

madonna-luis-vuittonRemember the ads featuring Madonna in some goofy pose with a Luis Vuitton purse hanging from her shoe? Well those days are over. They’ve got some fresh meat to handle their brand and aren’t looking to her old butt anymore.

LV has kicked Madge to the curb in favor of another much younger model, Lara Stone. Marc Jacobs said, “To model the clothes, we wanted a modern, iconic, sexy beauty…It had to be Lara Stone.”

Don’t bust out the hankies to cry any tears for her, she still got paid.

  1. I love how uninformed media outlets (and forgettable blogs) turn this into something negative. Madonna was used for TWO successful seasons with LV. Was she expected to represent the company forever? Like her or not, Madonna is a cultural icon and her influence over fashion remains influential and consistent.

  2. Hey Roberta why don’t you show us your butt and we will compare it to Madonna’s. Then we can decide who has the “old” butt? something tell’s me it pretty comparable to Lara Stone’s as well. She’s still around and very relevant people deal with it…..

  3. I love it when people get so fired up over someone who obviously doesn’t give a crap about you. Kudos.

  5. And I love it when people write about someone who they say they don’t give a crap about… This stupid article was probably written by a woman so fat that, when pregnant, people only start noticing after the eight month. Plus she is a wrinkled cow who is young but looks over 60.

Come on, ROBERTA, admit it… You are jealous of Madonna, and you probably love her, but I am sure it pisses you off that she is older than you and hotter than you (actually, being hotter than you is not a really big thing; being less hot than you is). You care about her so much that you decided to write this stupid article on her Louis Vuitton colaboration. The question is, do you think Madonna cares about you or what you say? She gets to work with Louis Vuitton and D&G, but do you?

  9. Um .. she didn’t get “kicked to the curb” you moron – the ad campaign ended. Did you think they’d leave up the same posters forever? Clearly, you’re not very smart. Get some brains.

  10. Madonna knows how to dress to get attention and she gets paid gazillions even though she has no natural singing voice I think she is an inspiration for people who want to give up on their dreams already and her success just shows just having a strong determination and just use any old dirty tactic gets you to the top.Everyone says she slept with all her music collaborators from jellybean benitez to the rest.

She really knows how to play her cards and we all have to pay her to have her entertain us . She is really at the top of her heap
