Rupert Everett labels Michael Jackson a “freak”

rupert_everett_labels_michael_jackson_a_freakRupert Everett has labeled Michael Jackson a “freak” and claimed that it was “fortuitous” he died when he did because he could never have completed his 50 gigs in London this summer.

The late singer was due to perform the lengthy stints as part of his comeback tour at London’s 02 Arena. But Everett believes that the press would have slated Jackson no matter whether it was a success or not.

He explained to the Daily Mirror, “He was a freak. He looked like a character from Shrek. He was a black to white minstrel. He personified the pain and anxiety of a black man in a slave country. We all watched as he changed from black to white. He was a living performance act.”

“I think it was fortuitous that he died. He was supposed to a doing 50 concerts in London. It wouldn’t have mattered how good or bad he was. He wouldn’t have managed to do all of them and the press would have destroyed him.”

Not sure about you, but I’ve lost respect for this actor.. what do you think?

I don’t get Rupert’s motivation for chiming in in such a negative way. What’s the point?

He’s been judged alot (cos of his sexuality), you’d expect him not to judge others, but who knew.. :-/

I think it’s just the way your spin it.

The point he’s trying to make is, no matter how good or bad his 50 shows might be, he will be torn apart by the press.

I’ll care what Rupert Everett has to say about Michael Jackson when he’s donated over $300 million dollars to several dozen charities, moved millions with his artistry and compassion for decades, and sold more records than any other recording artist past or present and likely future. The idiot is just another low-level and low-class celebrity trying to get some media attention at the expense of Michael’s beloved name. Michael’s legions of fans know where Everett can go and what he can do to himself, the faster, the better.
