Cobra Starship sucked on Conan Obrien last night

Cobra Starship performed their hit song, “Good Girls Go Bad” on last night’s “Tonight Show With Conan Obrien” and it was awful!

The group had special guest Estelle with them, performing the song, but it was just so bad that there are no words.

I love the studio version of the song, but it just goes to show you that singers who can’t sing without auto-tune, probably shouldn’t.

It’s impossible to sing the song the same as the record, it’s overproduced to begin with. They performed well, in my opinion, and Estelle didn’t remember a single lyric, it was pathetic!

Are you fucking kidding me? It’s the song that is complete shit, not the performers. Gabe has created some brilliant music in his day (i.e., Midtown) and Cobra Starship as a whole is just awful. Too bad he’s preoccupied with popularity to actually make good music.

To be honest Gabe didn’t do a horrible job. It definetly was not his best preformance bit he did ok. Estelle on the other hand didn’t know the lyrics and could hardley sing. So i think cobra did good Estelle failed.

Don’t fucking degrade on Cobra like that. That Estelle or whatever freaking forgot the words! And sounds no where near Leighton Meester standards. I admit, this was pretty bad, but you can’t hear ONE song, ONE time live, and say they suck. This song isn’t the best to sing live, either. It is an awesome song, but it’s more meant to be made in the studio because of all the effects. At least he isn’t lip syncing like most pathetic excuses for singers do these days.

Whether you like the band or not, this is tough to defend. It speaks more to the fact that labels are turning music into showy gimmicks than actual substance. This band seems like they are trying way too hard. At least now I know Leighton Meester can sing, so they gave me that.

Well, Gabe has had a lot of problems with his vocals over the past year (he had surgery after he got really sick), and I’ve seen them twice in concert. Honestly, his stage presence more than makes up for anything else.
