Controversy Surrounding American Idol Contender Joanna Pacitti?

Dang. Girl’s got some pipes! She tore that song up! Pat Benatar most-likely approves. But there is only one problem, Joanna Pacitti is already established in the music business.

She had already been signed to a record deal with A&M Records and has a record through Geffen called “This Crazy Life” from 2006.

Too much experience to become America’s next Idol? What do you think? She could probably win easily, she’s got a good voice. Thoughts?

    Your news is wrong.
    Britney and Joanna did do this song together.
    That youtube audio is a mix of two seperate versions of “Out from Under” — Britneys version & Joannas version.

    The songwriters(Joanna did not write the song) sold the lyrics to Britney but the instrumentals to the songs are different because Britney used different producers.

    Thanks for pointing that out, Jake. It’s all good, I’ve been wrong before. However, the point still remains that Joanna seems a little more professionally “out there” and while it’s not written in the American Idol rules that it’s against them, it just seems that she’d have an unfair advantage.
    But she can sing, for sure.
