Gene Simmons tells Adam Lambert to ‘shut up’ about his sexuality – Video

gene_simmons_tells_adam_lambert_to_shut_upGene Simmons went on Fox Philadelphia in promotion of the new season of his show, “Family Jewels”. He talked about the show, but he also had a few words for Adam Lambert.

He said that Adam is “great and has a lot of talent” and added that he would have a bright future as the frontman of Queen, but not the Stones.

He also offered up this advice for the budding singer: “Mostly he should shut up about his sexual preferences. We, America, the rest of the world, really don’t care. I mean, if the story becomes ‘I prefer farm animals to…’, you know, who cares?”

When asked, “How was it to perform with him [Lambert] on “American Idol”? Gene answered, “How was it for him to perform with us, you mean? That’s right, I see. Well, you just have to realize who the governor is and who the little puppy is.”

Snap. I know that he’s in the spirit of promoting his show, but that’s a lot of smack talking for one morning. What say you, Adam?

    Gene is full of it. How dare he prescript what Adam Lambert should do with his career of what kind of rock he is able to sing. Adam already proved he can out sign Gene on whole lotta love. Adam’s rendition far better than the original.

    i predict that Adam will prove Mr. Simmons wrong in his assumptions; and become a force to reckon with in the music business…would Gene have said the same to Michael Jackson or David Bowie?…what are they tofu?

    There are many style of rock. The truth is Adam will redefine rock with his own unique style; not copy someone else’s.

    The truth is appearing with Adam drew attention to both Queen and Kiss and revived their record sales and recognition among the younger generation.

    Gene’s lack of graciousness or humility really grates…
