by on May 07, 2009 | 2 Comments

Yesterday I had the pleasure of speaking with the star of MTV’s “Taking The Stage”, Mia Carruthers.

She was a very nice girl and gave me some inside scoop as to what’s going down on tonight’s season finale of the show, as well as her plans to release a CD.

You can view the entire interview here.

Here’s a snippet:

What would you say to fans who haven’t yet heard your music?

I’d like for them to. You really get a sense of who I am through my music and it’s the reason I did the show in the first place. I’d tell fans I’m a young artist with a mature sound and they should check out my music.

Check out the season finale of the show tonight to find out what happens with Mia’s meeting with Jive Records.

First, I want to say I watched the show and loved it. Mia has a beautiful voice, and needs to be signed to a label. Also, people needs to stop blaming Mia for the chemistry she had with Tyler. Tyler liked Mia just as much as she liked him, but he was in a relationship. People needs to remember these are teenagers. Stop! Hatten!

In my opinion the other four characters were done a big disservice. Every episode displayed Mia’s talen and you only got a glimpse of the other characters talent. This was called “Taking the Stage rigtt? I saw a very bias writer or producer. The love triangle got excessive and Mia’s attitude to the other cast members were a bit over the top. Again in my opinion the other cast members were overlooked as far as talent was concerned and Mia was obviously upstaged and her songs sonund the same and were too excessive..
