Kris Allen talks about Adam Lambert

kris_allen_talks_about_adam_lambertIn a recent interview with “Parade” magazine, Kris Allen was asked whether or not he thought Adam Lambert was stealing the spotlight. After all, Kris did win “American Idol”, but Adam landed the cover of “Rolling Stone” and people are still hanging on his every word.

Kris responded, “Adam is definitely one of those people who garnishes media attention. He’s different, and he’s something completely different from Idol and so I think he deserves all that stuff. And for me, I’m totally laid back and cool. Being on the cover of Rolling Stone, he had something to say and they wanted to be the ones to say it. That was his way to do that. I don’t have any problems with it at all. I think Adam totally deserves it. I don’t feel like he’s stealing my thunder.”

Kris also spoke of how Adam commended him on his open-mindedness. He added, “Me and Adam are really good friends. I learned from going to different countries and seeing different people that you can’t have a one-track mind about anything. There are so many unanswered questions. I’m never going to rule out anything so you have to have an open mind and it’s just about getting along with people and just having fun while we’re on Earth.”

    Well, that really would likely happen if the crown was stolen from the real winner. The truth will always prevails. Adam is the best singer of all idol contestants and it was provrn lots of times. HE IS THE STAR!!!

    I don’t know why people are trying to foment a rivalry between two people for whom no real rivalry exists. Adam and Kris came out of season 8 as great friends. Hurray for both of them!

      oh and adamforever, where did Kris say that Adam was only on the cover of Rolling Stone because he was gay? He said Adam was in Rolling Stone magazine because he had something to say? Adam himself admitted he wanted to officially tell the world he was gay and decided to do so in Rolling Stone. Some of you Glambert fans are showing yourselves to be extremely bitter and low class.

        There is no problem with Adam choosing which article to finally admit he was Gay after all the speculation. It is Adam who decided that he wanted to do that after he was off Idol. Kris has always supported Adam, too bad a few of his “Bitterberts” can’t see that.

        Kris mentioned about acceptance and open-mindedness, you obviously need to have some… You judge people to fast. Try to learn different cultures from other country but then again you might find it indecent and unlawful. Hate and Prejudice, that is whats wrong.
        And by the way, I personally find the Magazine nice and very expressive of who Adam is. You might call me indecent but I am someone who has a Masters Degree in Economics. So I guess I am indecent, and CRAZY…
        I am an avid fan of Kris and Adam; personally though, I would have to say people like you who are intolerant are the one who need not to be tolerated.

    Although Adam was and still is my favorite from Season 8 (the BEST season of Idol EVER!), Kris Allen has proven himself as a talented musician and both of them will make really good albums. As for their friendship, there’s nothing greater than someone who accepts another for who he is. Congrats on the friendship!

    Kris is such a great person and a terrific friend to Adam. He has supported Adam throughout Idol and in every interview he has made. Adam really likes Kris very much, they are genuine friends. Kris is a gracious person, open minded and kind hearted and wonderfully talented. I respect him tremendously.Kris is a class act.

    Kris and his guitar or his piano is enough to entertain me. He is wonderful. And as for his defending and supporting Adam Lambert, he has demonstrated his loyal friendship consistently and openly and unconditionally. Kris is a model of a loving mind and loving heart expressing his brotherly love and making him a real Idol just as Adam expresses the spirit of liberation, and unconditionl acceptance of others. These two classy competitors are admirable as well as talented.

    Adamforever….gosh you are delusional. First of all Kris never said that Adam only got the cover of Rolling Stone because he is gay.

    But here is the reality….Adam did only get the cover of Rolling Stone because he is gay. That is fact! But Kris never pointed that fact out.

    Kris and Adam have been nothing but wonderful in every way to each other. It is sad that many of Adam’s fans cannot take a lesson from Adam about being gracious. Adam has said himself that he thought fans like Adamforever were “tacky” and a “disappointment.”

    Kris is the luckiest guy in the world. He is so laid back and cool. He does not have to work hard and go through all the hoops and planning like what Adam Lambert does to win. Kris will win and will garner the biggest sales just by being the laid back Kris. He can come out with a mediocre album with his mediocre voice and his album will be the biggest selling album in the USA. The USA loves mediocrity nowadays.

    Adam was on the cover of Rolling Stone not because he is gay, but in spite of it. Adam’s awesome talent, sizzling sexy looks and disarming charm were able to break down barriers that would have ended many a career before it started. Anyone that thinks that Kris won legitimately is a fool. If you are enjoying Kris’s very boring music, you don’t have an ear. Kris does not have much of a voice and he cannot keep time. His timing affects his vocals and his very ordinary guitar and piano. Kris is not “nice” in my book, he is delusional, when he says that “Adam deserved the win as much as he did”, he needs to get real. Adam deserved the win because he is by far the most talented entertainer to ever step on the stage at American Idol. Adam will be a musical legend when Kris is back in Arkansas eating his lifetime supply of cheese dip.

    Adam is the only star (singing, performing, charisma, brains etc.). That’s why he is getting the magazine covers and media attention. The rest from Idol are forgettable and bland, and I don’t mean just this season, I mean in general. Besides, no one outside the US knows or cares about them, but people worldwide know Adam. Sure the rest will make a good living now that they have been “discovered”, but would they ever reach greatness? Unlikely. The only one with a chance at that is Adam.

    Just like usually the same whiners and crybaby Glamberts, tij, Kerry Kolsch are posting nasty remarks about a really cool and humble guy. They troll every article that mentions Kris to post their stupidity. First there was no way any Danny Gokey fan was going to change their vote to Adam after he left, and it wasn’t because of of him a Christian, it was because of competition. Danny was never in the bottom 3 before he left and I highly doubt that Danny’s fans would vote for Adam after he left. Would Adam fans vote for Danny? I don’t think so. If they write they would they are lying. But you notice that most Kris fans don’t troll articles about Adam and write nasty things? They will say it is because of Google alerts, well it works both ways. We don’t spam Adam articles with whining and crying. After over 2 weeks these fools are still crying and whining. So some class and quit being “sore losers”, as Adam calls it. It is “tacky” to quote Adam.

Kris can come up with the crappiest album and it will be the best selling album ever. Wanna bet? Everybody loves Kris. Jade, you are so anti-Adam. All the anti-Adams will buy Kris’ album just to show how anti-Adam they are. Kris is the winnah! Who cares about Danny? This is Kris’ world. Kris knows he is the greatest idol now and he deserves to be the winner. He knows he will make a lot of sales from the fans who worship him and the anti-Adam folks. Kris has got it made. The harder Adam Lambert works, the more sales Kris will garner. That’s how the USA works.

        lol, first, I am not “Anti-Adam”. That is the problem with a few of the Glambert fans who feel they obsessively have to go to every Kris Allen article, like yourself tij, and spam rude, spiteful, ignorant comments about Kris, who btw is very humble and sweet. Most of Kris fans are not “Anti-Adam”, that is something that is stuck in a few Glambert fans small brains who saw this all as a competition, when in fact BOTH Adam and Kris didn’t. They saw this as an oppurtunity to get into the music business and used Idol as its vehicle. They know that. I know that, and alot of people know that, all expect a few idiots who don’t. They still want to see this as a ‘competition’ when in fact everyone knows that this is about getting out in public so people can hear your music. When will it SINK in people’s ignorant minds that both Adam and Kris knew this was not a competition between themselves but a chance for both of them to get careers and noticed by the music industry. Man! some of you are truly dense…lol

          Jade, I don’t go to every Kris Article. I ONLY SEARCH for Adam Lambert’s name in Google News. Next time, they should never include the name of Adam Lambert’s name to any of Kris articles because most likely, the Adam fans will hit those articles when they read how PERFECT Kris Allen is and how more successful he will be. The eyes and ears of the Lambert fans flare up when Adam Lambert’s name is included with a Kris article. Anti-Adam people are not Kris fans. They are just anti-Adam people who would choose Kris over Adam just because they are anti-Adam. As far as I know, there are no anti-Kris people.

    People, calm down! They are friends and Adam is the better singer if you like his style, and I do!! However, Kris is the better singer if you are into a more folksy, laid back sound. They both have an awesome opportunity to make it in this crazy business they are in and both need people bedsides American Idol watchers to buy their music for them to be successful. I hope success and prosperity find them both and, please, fellow Adam fans, stop wishing ill will on Kris or his fans. It really is classless and tacky!!

    Of course Lambert isn’t stealing Allen’s thunder – Allen has no thunder to steal!! By mentioning it, this shows Allen knows Lambert IS the person the world cares about – What’s Allen been up to since cheating his way to victory on Idol?? Who knows, who cares!

      Personally, I have no interest in Kris’ music (or voice) and I was an Adam fan from the start, but Kris has class and shows himself to be a top notched guy. No one can deny that. Adam and Kris are friends. Adam fans need to start showing some respect to Kris for nothing else than that. I was disappointed at the results too, but it’s time that some Adam fans got over it. He’s recording an album as we speak. We’ll get our Adam music whether he won AI or not. Calm down, Geez.

      Now here’s to hoping that some Kris fans can show some respect for Adam too. This Kris vs Adam battle is long beyond lame.

    Jade who posted here earlier is a truly sick human being who went into my aunt’s private Face Book account and tried to find information on me because we have the same name. She tried to say that I am 50 years old, which I am not and tried to diminish the fact that Kris’s fans cannot dispute the fact that the world cares about Adam and does not give a F— about Kris. The sick b—- does not get the fact that you cannot change reality. Adam is extraordinary and Kris is ordinary. I hope she gets the help she needs!

    I feel like there are some people here pretending to be fans of one contestant while insulting the other in order to make trouble. I am a gigantic Adam fan, and I think that Kris is really talented and deserving of the win, as well as a completely wonderful person, and most Adam fans I know feel the same way, just as most Kris fans also like Adam.

    Kris and Adam clearly have a lot of respect for each other. Their fans should too.

    It really dose not take a rocket scientist to figure out what sells and what the media wants to report about. The headline is “Kris Allen talks about Adam Lambert”. Hmmm I guess their is just not much interest in “Kris Allen talking about Kris Allen.” Kris seems like a nice enough guy but truth is he is no American Idol. He won a silly show that seems to be based on how fast people who have AT&T phones can text message. If anything he is the text message King and a King who has nothing interesting to say about himself. What he dose says about Adam and Rolling Stones is “he had something to say and they wanted to be the ones to say it” which implies that Adam got the cover of Rolling Stones because there was some kind of agreement between Adam and Rolling Stones that he would come out to them in exchange for the cover. The truth is Adam got the cover after doing an interview with Rolling Stones weeks before the final voting,their was not prior agreement that he would have to answer that question for them and they did not expect the totally honest and open interview he gave them. Rolling Stones wanted Adam win or loose because of his talent and they are not a publication that puts people on the cover just because they come out. My fault with Kris is that what ever way the wind blows it just must be because Adam is gay. He admits that Adam was the most consistent performer. If you go back and look at what Adam did, its mostly very conservative low key suite and tie performances mixed with hard core rock and roll. Yes diversity, but nothing over the top to make anyone hate on him. Kris seems to be pretty comfortable in the idea that he won because America would not vote for a gay idol and that his appeal was more appealing because he was a good old boy laid back church going guy and their is no honest reason for him to win if it was based on talent. In Kris’s mind he won American Idol because Adam was gay and Adam got the RS cover because Adam is gay. Truth is Kris won AI because of 40 million votes form Arkansas and Adam got the cover of Rolling Stones because people in the business see that he has what it takes to be an international star. I just find it offensive that the only way Kris can ever answer a question is that oh well its just because Adam is gay.
