Lady Gaga performed for the Queen at the Royal Variety Performance and afterward had the opportunity to meet the Queen.
She had to tone it down for the performance and only wore a red PVC dress and eye glitter.
Lady Gaga said, “I wanted to do the suicide scene I did at the MTV Awards but I was told it wouldn’t be appropriate. And not only has that been vetoed, but I have to tone down my act generally. But all of that doesn’t matter because I’m a massive fan of the Queen – I was so excited and have even been practicing my curtsy.”
She performed her new ballad “Speechless” at the Opera House. She added, “When I first came up with what I was doing, I said, ‘Oh my f***ing God. It’s fabulous, I hope the Queen likes it.”
