Patrick Stump talks about his arrest

patrick_stump_statementYesterday, Fall Out Boy singer Patrick Stump was arrested for driving without a license in California. Now, he’s talking about his bungle.

He says, “All I really have to say is ignorance of the law isn’t innocence. I didn’t want to give up my Illinois driver’s license and was unaware that was a crime. It is, by the way, in the state of California. Lesson learned. I technically broke a law, so technically I deserve whatever I get. But man, is my mom gonna be pissed.”

If convicted of this crime, he could get six months in jail and/or a $1,000 fine. When is it justice that a man driving without a license should get more jail time than a felon like Chris Brown for what he did?!???
