taylor_swift_swastikaTaylor Swift attended Katy Perry’s little birthday paint party and must have posed for pictures with a ton of people. She was caught with her pants down, when this photo surfaced of her hugging a guy wearing a swastika t-shirt.

It’s bad luck for her, but these things happen. It’s not like she could control what others were wearing.

Her rep said, Taylor took pictures with about 100 people that night … she doesn’t know who this guy is and she didn’t realize what was on his shirt.”

    Even if she did know what was on his shirt, does it really matter? We all have so much to learn from Taylor Swift. To all who think this is actually worth worrying about I would ask this: would you be willing to destroy someone who has been an encouragement to so many for such a negligible incident as this? I had to laugh when news stories questioned whether Taylor Swift’s encounter with Kanye West would damage her career as well. Real Taylor Swift fans know that friendships are not that easily broken.

    As we go about our day-to-day activities, we should ask ourselves how Taylor would respond to the various difficult situations we have to deal with. If we can come to view the world more like Taylor does we would be a lot better off for it. I once read a quote on a discussion forum that I think adequately describes Taylor Swift: “A friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart.” If Taylor loses any of her support, it is not her fault and it is not the news media’s fault. This is a test to see how much those who considered themselves fans of Taylor Swift were really listening to what she had to say about friendship and life in general. It is a priviledge and an honor to be a Taylor Swift fan.
