If Michael Jackson ever aspired to be a zombie, perhaps it is fitting that in his death, he has taken over the thoughts, if not the entire brains of most of the news industry. Since the first announcement of MJ’s death rumors to the time of this article, we’ve noticed that celebrity news website TMZ.com has posted a total of 122 stories related to Michael Jackson’s untimely death. Compare that to a grand total of 138 since the announcement on June 25th, meaning that other news has been clearly sidelined.

That’s ten pages worth of mostly Jackson related business, and we presume it must be good business to cover things in such an investigative manner. But at what cost?. Farrah Fawcett was honored Monday at her funeral and didn’t even garner a mention on the site. Other meaningful news must surely be getting brushed aside in this Michael Mania treatment from TMZ and other news outlets.

Yesterday the Michael Jackson mania was broken up by a story calling BS on the death of George Clooney, but afterward, everything MJ was fair game.

To be fair, he was a huge “superstar”, as stated by his father, Joe Jackson, but that’s a whole other can of worms for TMZ to write about.
