Westboro Baptist Church protests Adam Lambert at Idol concert

adam_lambert_entertainment_weeklyThe Westboro Baptist Church really isn’t making a name for itself at all. They’ve protested several high profile funerals, including Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett. Now, they’ve got their sights set on openly gay “American Idol” runner-up Adam Lambert.

The church group protested outside of the Idols concert at the HP Pavilion in San Jose on July 12th.

Michael Sarver tweeted this in his friend’s defense:

Funny how people think it’s a good idea to mess with a big Texan and his AI family. Lol Adam is just fine ,shakes it off and so should we.

We hear ya, Michael! It’s such a shame that these folks can’t find something more useful to do with their time.

    Praise the lord I am not one of these baptist fanatics. Imgaine what they could do if they put there devotion to good work like feeding the hungry or helping the homeless. Adam is the most amazing person he is sweet and humble and just a genuine guy. Probably the most talented we have seen in many years. I am A big fan and will support him with unconditonal love and respect. Rock On Adam We Love You!!

    The only evil in this world are the intolerant,judgemental people who hate.They judge and condemn Gods/Universe creation if you really want to think about it and no one has the right to do that. Adam is such a beautiful soul, he is such a bright shining light. Rock on Adam , many many people love you and that is what is right in the Universe, love!

    I dont’ even know what to say about this. Adam SHOULD NOT have to be Okay with it. I find it a shame that he or anyone else should have to put up with this type of behavior. It is nothing but cruel and disruptive. It certainly is not christian by any means and i am getting sick of people calling themselves christians and that supposedly making it okay for them to behave this way. I mean really are you God and can judge. Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones.
