Wrigley’s suing Chris Brown over yanked ads?

by on October 08, 2009 | 5 Comments

chris_brown_wrigleysPer Janet Charlton’s blog, I’ve just found that Wrigley’s gum might be suing Chris Brown for the money they lost due to the Rihanna incident.

Apparently, they produced his song “Forever” and he had signed a 5-year-deal with him when the Rihanna incident happened. This caused them to pull all of their ads, even the ones featuring other celebrities, because Chris was a part of them. These celebrity spots included commercials with Jay-Z and Mariah Carey.

They’ve fired him over the bad publicity that ensued from beating Rihanna, and now they’re reportedly considering a lawsuit to recoup their losses.

Welll… I wonder why Kobe Bryant and Michael Phelps weren’t facing lawsuits, they lost plenty of endorsements and millions of dollars, they had major commercial being shown on TV, that were pulled off the air. The two of them did end up with some of their endorsements back. My question is, were their incidents consider bad behavior or is sexual assault and posing with a drug pipe on a magazine good behavior. I’m so tired of this double standard bull!!!

I think they’d have a hard time suing him after firing him. That being said, I’ve seen the nekkid Rihanna photos floating around the old interwebs. I would beat her too. Just not with my hands. Or feet. Or knees.

Ok, I wouldn’t beat her at all, but I did beat myself to her images. Rawr.
