Perez Hilton on American Idol?
by Lydia Harris on Feb.19, 2010, under articles
Simon Cowell thinks that celebrity blogger Perez Hilton might be a good fit to replace him on the next seasons of “American Idol”.
In a statement yesterday, Cowell said that Hilton knows his music and might be a good fit for the franchise. He said, “Perez would be funny. He’s got good taste in music, he’s got a personality, that could work.”
Cowell also wishes to have pop megastar Lady Gaga as a mentor for the contestants. He added, “She is the most relevant pop artist in the world right now. And she’s very smart. I like her.”

Evan Lysacek wins gold medal; the backlash
by Roberta Ferguson on Feb.19, 2010, under articles
Evan Lysacek took home the gold medal in Thursday’s men’s Olympic figure skating. Evgeni Plushenko took home the silver medal for his routine, while U.S. favorite Johnny Weir only received sixth place.
Was is a travesty on the part of the judges?
Daisuke Takahashi brought home the bronze medal, even though he fell during his performance. Weir executed his performance without a hitch.
So where was the flaw? Honestly, the flaw was on the part of the judges. This is the OLYMPICS, not the I SKATED & FELL SHOW. Seriously, where’s Weir’s medal?

Video: Sade performs ‘Soldier Of Love’ on ‘Ellen’
by Roberta Ferguson on Feb.19, 2010, under articles
Sade performed their newest hit song, “Soldier Of Love” on Ellen’s show and it was fan-freakin-tastic. I absolutely love listening to this woman sing.
Ever since the eighties when Sade came out with “Smooth Operator”, they became a household name. The group fell off of the radar for an entire ten years before making their comeback with 2010′s “Soldier Of Love”.

Britney Spears goes crazy in a wild shopping spree
by Roberta Ferguson on Feb.18, 2010, under articles
Britney Spears likes to shop! Alert the media!
Even though Britney has been put on shopping lockdown by daddy, she’s spending money like it grows on trees. But if you were Britney, wouldn’t you be doing the same thing?
She recently shelled out nearly $750,000 to completely renovate her Calabasas, Calif., home — including $150,000 on new furniture, $200,000 on artwork, $100,000 on a new bathroom, $150,000 on electronics and even close to $100,000 on Venetian plaster walls.
A friend said, “Britney remodeled her entire home. She loves spending money and was able to persuade her father to give it to her.”
I guess she could’ve offered to up his salary to look the other way?
