Kesha recently came out swinging against pop legend Britney Spears in her new track, Styrofoam. But in a recent interview with SYTYCD, the singer, she said that she didn’t have the “balls” to not sing the Britney bashing lyrics.

She said, “Just to clarify, I didn’t write that bit. And um, that was from when I was fifteen. And there is a reason that that song isn’t on my record. So umm, I have to admit, I do regret ever even singing that…because I have mad respect for her. But at the time I was fifteen, I didn’t really have the balls to not sing it, so, I mean, that is why it’s not on my record. Because I can’t really stand behind it.”

On this week’s teen idols episode of American Idol, Miley Cyrus is slated to mentor the contestants. Also, new couple Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato are set to perform.

According to MJ’s Big Blog:

Miley Cyrus will appear as a guest mentor on AMERICAN IDOL and help the Top 11 finalists – Didi Benami, Crystal Bowersox, Lee Dewyze, Andrew Garcia, Casey James, Aaron Kelly, Michael Lynche, Siobhan Magnus, Paige Miles, Katie Stevens and Tim Urban – prepare for their performances on a Billboard No.1 Hits-themed show airing Tuesday, March 23 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX.

Tune in to the results show the following night, Wednesday, March 24 (9:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed), to see Cyrus perform her hit “When I Look At You,” watch Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato sing “Make A Wave,” and find out who receives enough votes to stay in the competition and who is sent home.

So it’s basically a Disney special?

Given that her father, Billy Ray Cyrus made his fortune singing country music, you wouldn’t think that teen queen Miley Cyrus would be slamming the entire genre. But, never fear, she doesn’t disappoint.

She said, “It scares me, that’s why. It feels contrived on so many levels. Unless you’re wearing a cowboy hat and cowboy boots and singing and whining about your girlfriend or boyfriend leaving you it’s not going to sell. I think that’s why my dad finally got out of it. You have to wear those cowboy boots and be sweet as pie. It makes me nervous, the politics of it all.”

In a new interview about his flick with Emilie De Ravin, Robert Pattinson says that he really has a new respect for porn stars.

In their new movie, Remember Me, Rob had to film some sexy scenes with Emilie. He said that he found stripping off for the cameras difficult, which gave him a new admiration for porn stars.

He said, “When you end up doing it, you have this little patch on your privates. I didn’t really tape it up properly, so I’d spent so long taping it round myself and then literally it falls off within one second and it’s taped to the sheet. And you realize the whole crew are looking directly at your butt crack. I can’t think of anything exciting for them about this. It gives you a lot of respect for porn stars.”

Friends and family members of Whitney Houston are concerned that she may have relapsed back into her drug doing days and are urging the singer to head back to rehab.

The singer was said to have appeared “breathless, exhausted and disoriented during her comeback tour”, which has prompted her family to lead a campaign to get her back into treatment.

According to Celebitchy, an insider said, “The family members are deeply concerned because Whitney appears to be back to the same erratic and troubling behavior she exhibited when she was in the grips of a crack and cocaine addiction. Whitney is drinking alcohol and she’s frequently dazed, confused and seemingly out of it. She came close to destroying her career and professional reputation with drugs, and the family is determined to avert a similar disaster.”

Her family wants her to seek the necessary treatment during her break in her Nothing But Love tour. Another source said, “Her family wants her to slip into rehab during the break, and then undergo more intensive treatment in June. They feel strongly that Whitney won’t be able to finish the tour unless she gets help right away – and they believe it could save her life.”

Mariah Carey’s new album of remixes for Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel, has been shelved, but don’t fret, some of the singles from the album will get released.

The album, titled, Angels Advocate, was set for release on March 30, 2010. But her record company has reportedly pulled the plug on the album.

Even though the album won’t see a proper release, according to Mariah Daily Journal, “It won’t go to waste”.

Her team has said this in a statement, “We are looking to go possibly to another studio album or Christmas album. The decision hasn’t been totally made yet. It’s a creative process that cannot be rushed.”

A Martinsburg, West Virginia man concocted a fake concert starring Lady Gaga and Adam Lambert. The show has since been axed due to representatives for both singers confirming that they were never booked to perform.

The man was said to be advertising a private event for a hair care launch party in April, and was reportedly selling tickets between $100 amd $200.

Adam’s spokesperson said that the show was “not legit”, with Gaga’s manager said that reports saying she would be performing or attending were “completely false”.

According to the website for the concert, it has been canceled and refunds will be issued on Tuesday, March 23, 2010.

When the ambulance picked up Michael Jackson on June 25, 2009, Dr. Conrad Murray reportedly failed to mention to the EMTs that he had administered propofol to the singer.

TMZ reports:

The report, published by News of the World, states what TMZ has previously reported — that paramedics felt Jackson was dead when they got to the singer’s home but Dr. Murray, as the senior medical professional present, demanded that Jackson be taken to the hospital.

According to the report, Jackson had flatlined by the time paramedics arrived at the house, and he had no blood pressure, pulse or breath, and his pupils were dilated.

According to the report, Dr. Murray told paramedics Jackson was exhausted because he couldn’t fall asleep and he had given Jackson Lorazepam — a sedative. Omitting the fact that Dr. Murray gave Jackson Propofol is no doubt something the paramedics should have known about and will almost certainly be used by prosecutors in the trial.

I’m not sure how much news I would necessarily believe coming from News Of The World, but this would make sense, considering how shady Dr. Murray is.

In her new song, Styrofoam, Kesha has taken the leap to dissing Britney Spears. Nevermind the fact that Kesha once sang backup for Britney on Lace And Leather, but now she’s biting the hand that feeds, for sure.

Even though her new show, The Price Of Beauty, debuted to dismal ratings on VH1, Jessica Simpson is already saying that she wants to do another season. Well, of course she does! She gets to fly around the world and sample other cultures with her best friends, who wouldn’t want to do that as a job?

She said, “Right now, I’m promoting this show, and hopefully we’ll be doing a season two and hopefully just travel more. I’m putting my hands in different things, trying to executive produce some show ideas. I think people will be very shocked to see what might happen in my life next.”

Not really. Yawn.
