Bret Michaels has been released from the hospital, after suffering from appendicitis on Monday.

The singer underwent an emergency appendectomy on Monday in a San Antonio, Texas hospital. He was being kept for observation after fear of complications after his temperature fluctuated, following the surgery.

Yesterday, Bret was released from the hospital to finish recuperating at home.

Get well soon, Bret!

According to Mistress Juliya on Twitter, Peter Steele, frontman for Type O Negative, has passed away.

She said, “Today is a very sad day in metal…End of an era. Peter Steele passed today. I loved my friend…our idol…my heart is with his band and family… @msjenncity he passed of heart failure today. Just spoke to Kenny.”

His Wikipedia has been updated to reflect his passing on April 14, 2010. We hope this is not true. We’ll keep our ear to the ground for any updates. (Update: It has since been updated to show no death date)

Madonna has turned down a guest appearance on Glee, because she doesn’t own a television and has never heard of the show.

The show’s producers were happy to hear that Madge gave the green light to the show to use her back catalog. So much, that they offered her a guest spot on the episode dedicated to her music. She has declined!

A source said, “Madonna doesn’t have a TV and has no idea what Glee is. The show did ask her if she wanted to make an appearance in the much-hyped Madonna episode. She said, ‘No, thanks’, and to be honest she would rather they sing an Elton John song than butcher one of hers.”

Then why was permission granted for them to butcher one of hers?

Fans of Justin Bieber helped him raise $200,000 for a local children’s hospital. He appealed for donations from fans to give the hospital a boost in funds, and was surprised at the amount of money raised.

He tweeted, “Heading to buffalo and rochester ny tomorrow…they helped me raise over $200k for a children’s hospital up there. Incredibly proud of them!”

What was more shocking is that the money raised, was all done in pennies. He added, “Just thought about it…the fans in Buffalo raised $200k in pennies for charity…that is 20 million pennies!!! WOW!! VERY PROUD!!”

Eminem has scrapped the name Relapse 2 for his upcoming album, and has instead decided to call it Recovery.

He said, “I had originally planned for Relapse 2 to come out last year. But as I kept recording and working with new producers, the idea of a sequel to Relapse started to make less and less sense to me, and I wanted to make a completely new album. The music on Recovery came out very different from Relapse, and I think it deserves its own title.”

The new album has a release date of June 22, 2010. I can’t wait! Can we get some Dre on that album, too, please?

Ex-porn star Jenna Jameson is recording an album. In a new interview with Ladiez Night, she said that she hopes her fans will embrace her as a singer.

How did you get involved with singing?
I got involved with singing early on while living in Vegas. I was a member of a play company that required everyone to sing and dance. I always loved dancing, and was classically trained, but singing was something I really never pursued. Now that I am finally pursuing it, I am extremely excited, and a little nervous. I do my best work when I’m nervous…

What are you going to be putting out?
My first single is a collaboration, I cannot talk about the specifics yet, but My producer, Jud Mahoney, is incredibly talented… And I love working with him. I will be announcing the other artists on my track very soon.

Is this going to be a second career?
I’m not sure if this is going to be a second career, I think that depends on whether my fans accept me as a singer, and by my music. So, I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

According to PopEater, Kate Gosselin is moving to Los Angeles, after doing some house hunting in the Hollywood Hills.

What’s weird is that she’s seeking out a $2 million mansion that has a pool, hot tub and a recording studio, among other things.

That prompts me to wonder if this non-dancing mom of eight has plans to invade our eardrums with her singing? Why else would she want a home with a recording studio? Unless she plans on pimping out the kids for their singing abilities.

Apparently, Justin Timberlake has been making fun of his girlfriend, Jessica Biel, behind her back. What a douche!

He is said to have taken the role opposite Cameron Diaz in their new flick, Bad Teacher, just to torture Jessica. Stay classy, JT.

A friend said, “He tortured Jess by taking this role, and they are reaching a breaking point. The truth is, I don’t know if they can survive this.”

The snitch reports that Justin and Cameron are openly flirting on the set and kidding around off camera. Jessica isn’t taking that news well, either. They have been having huge arguments about it on the phone.

A pal close to Justin says that he “won’t marry her because he doesn’t respect her anymore” and that “when she’s not around, he’ll make fun of her to his friends.”
