After getting caught on video with a bong, Miley wants to get herself on the straight and narrow path.

Since, she has promised her parents that she will start acting like more of a role model. A source said, “Even though Miley is of legal age and able to make her own decisions in most matters, she still remains very close to her parents. She’s headstrong and likes to make her own decisions, but she truly loves her Mom and Dad. She knew right away that this video of her partying with ‘pals’ and puffing on a bong would send them over the edge.”

The insider went on to say, “After listening to their terrible fears that she’s heading down the wrong path and losing control, Miley made this solemn vow to her parents: She will straighten up and start acting like a role model to young fans that she should be!”

Playboy founder Hugh Hefner and Crystal Harris are engaged!

Hef tweeted about his special Christmas gift to Crystal, an engagement ring. He said, “After the movie tonight, Crystal & I exchanged gifts. I gave Crystal a ring. A truly memorable Christmas Eve.”

He went on to reveal, “When I gave Crystal the ring, she burst into tears. This is the happiest Christmas weekend in memory.”

In case there was any confusion about the ring, Hef tweeted, “Yes, the ring I gave Crystal is an engagement ring. I didn’t mean to make a mystery out of it. A very merry Christmas to all.”

Brad Paisley

Country singer Brad Paisley has encouraged families to keep the music alive by giving children musical instruments this year. He said that he remembered the most important gift he’d ever received, a guitar from his grandfather.

He said, “He just wanted me to play and wrapped up one of his.” He added, “I hope there’s kids out there getting guitars for Christmas or any instrument for that matter. Nothing changed my life like that Christmas gift when I was eight from my grandfather.”

AnnaLynne McCord

TV actress AnnaLynne McCord is spending her Christmas this year with her sister in Cambodia. They are there to help raise awareness of sex slavery in the country. AnnaLynne tweeted, “Taking off to Cambodia with Angel McCord and 1 of my BFFs, Melissa H. to spend Christmas with @somalymam [Somaly Mam Foundation] and bring Christmas 2 her girls!”

Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian and Brittny Gastineau teamed up to pass out gifts to sick kids in the hospital. Toy supplier Hobby Tron donated toys for the occasion. Kim tweeted, “Heading to the LA Children’s Hospital to give out toys! Thank u Hobby Tron for the amazing donation! 500 toys! Wow. Today was a heart warming day!”

Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber wrapped up his U.S. tour on Thursday and parked his tour bus outside of the Atlanta, Georgia venue and asked fans to donate toys and games for sick kids at the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Center. He joined up with local radio station Q100 to create the Stuff Bieber’s Bus campaign.

He said, “I have such a big platform, it would be silly if I didn’t do something positive with it. I got contacted by their radio station…and they asked us if we wanted to be involved…and it was just something I thought would be really cool.”

Ellen DeGeneres

Not leaving out the nation’s stray pets, Ellen DeGeneres has teamed up with dog food company Halo to deliver one million meals to unwanted dogs.

She said, “At Halo we want to promote healthy living for pets and good food is a big part of that. So, we agreed to donate one million meals of Halo to shelter pets. I mean, imagine, an animal, in a cage, lonely – a good meal is kinda all they have to look forward to, until you adopt them!”

Kudos to all of them for making a difference this holiday season!

Katy Perry and husband Russell Brand have decided not to give each other Christmas presents this year, because they want to create an entire Christmas “experience.”

She said, “Honestly, we’re not doing presents this year because we’re going to do an experience instead. My whole life has been an experience, especially in these past few years and this year in particular.”

She also went on to reveal that she plans on donating some of her clothes to charity. She added, “I just feel like I have so much and sometimes I feel like I have too much. I seriously have all these wonderful things and I need to give them away because some of them don’t fit me!”

Just a few days ago, it was rumored that Jake Gyllenhaal purchased a birthday bracelet for his girlfriend, Taylor Swift — one that cost $100,000!

The source was quoted as saying, “It’s an Oscar-worthy bracelet – nearly 30 carats of colorless diamonds set in white gold. It cost Jake about $100,000, but he wanted to do something special for Taylor’s birthday.”

An Oscar-worthy bracelet? His rep is not amused. She has denied the rumors, saying, “All aspects of this are false.”

I wonder what he did get her for her birthday. Aren’t you curious??

Brittany Murphy had such a promising career in movies and music, and she was definitely taken from us way too young. It was tragic how she passed away December 20, 2009, but her mother Sharon says that she still pretends that Brittany’s still alive. So sad.

Sharon has found it difficult to cope with her daughter’s untimely death at the age of 32, so she pretends it never happened. She said, “It’s beyond strange. I don’t have answers for it. Sometimes just in order to function, I pretend it didn’t happen.”

She lived with Brittany and husband Simon Monjack until they both passed away within five months of each other. She said, “I feel their presence here. It’s comforting.”

Sharon went on to say, “I’m always remembering times with her. She would always say that we grew up together, and that’s true. We were so close, and such great friends.”

Sharon is working on a book about her daughter and is concentrating on her charity, the Brittany Murphy Foundation. She added, “A portion of the proceeds that I receive from the book will be donated to charity.”

Jimmy Fallon broke out his best Robert Pattinson impression for a holiday-themed episode of his show, titled, Robert Is Bothered. He was dressed as Rob’s Twilight character, Edward Cullen. Nice touch!

You know what bothers Robert the most this time??? The holidays!!!

He said, “Holidays bother me. Shopping bothers me. Christmas shopping bothers me! Christmas shopping is stupid!”

Just recently, we reported that Dakota Fanning was already filming her scenes for Breaking Dawn in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Now, we’ve learned that the filming isn’t exactly taking place chronologically.

Hollywood Life reports:

It appeared that when Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart headed down to Brazil to film honeymoon scenes for Breaking Dawn that the film was being shot chronologically — but that’s definitely not the case! Dakota Fanning, who plays powerful Volturi vampire Jane, was spotted filming in Louisiana last week meaning that the finale for the second film is already being shot! How confusing!

Incredibly, this means that the intense final confrontation between the Cullen family and the Volturi has wrapped filming, even though we won’t be seeing it in theaters for almost two years! It is almost impossible to imagine waiting that long!

Fans don’t care what order the movie’s filmed in as long as it comes out already, right?
