Adam Lambert performs If I Had You on The Ellen DeGeneres Show

Adam Lambert sat down with Ellen DeGeneres for an interview and performance. He gave a sweet performance of his new song, If I Had You, much to the delight of the audience.

It’s good that he made dancers out of his friends, but they don’t seem to be able to move like he does. What do you think?

    It's very sweet of him to hire his friends as dancers… But somehow it looks like Adam is a better dancer than they are…
    Loved the performance though. Insane vocals… The song is stuck in my head now!

    He gave a great performance, but yes those dancers were pretty awful. I'm not sure what value he thinks they add to his performance?

    Adam performed it wonderfully as usual but yeah, those dancers, just no! They're in the way, distracting and when I can't see me some band I get very cranky!

    Adam looked and sounded brilliant. Between him and Ellen they just bathe in positive, fun, happy energy. Love them both. That song is so catchy and I can't wait to be driving to it while I'm on my way to the beach! Have to purchase it off his album on itunes. Let's get it charting now so the radio stations will pick it up and we can rock out this summer!

    Adam sounded amazing, and he has such a positive energy. He looked great, too. Love the new song!

    Adam is the best, there isn't one artist out there right now that can touch him vocally. I can't wait for the tour this summer. It would be nice if he would release a slow song as a single just for a change. Broken Open, Soaked or Loaded Smile would be hits.

    The dancers have definitely improved and helped with his performance today. When they are in sinc its incredible. I loved the whole performance. This is what Adam wants, so I'm behind him 100%.

    I loved the performance, saw some friends of Adam's from theater w his mom in audience. The dancers are professional dancers, good, but not too fond of all the choreography, -esp like to see Adam interact a bit with band members. Even for a few seconds at a time, feels good.Adam sings so well, is such fun to watch perform. I can't wait for the tour.

    Every time Adam performs, it is fantastic and it is a fresh look. The guy is incredible.He has completely won me over ( with some help from gals at the plant )

    Another wonderful performance. I love this song. Adam will be on Leno Friday- and I'm looking forward to that too. I think Adam was born to be on stage, to be a singer, to be an entertainer. I think he is brillantly creative.

    The dancers are a nice addition and it is good to recognize that Adam's Management Company, Entertainment 19, is spending the money to meet Adam’s request for dancers. A great indication of Adam’s growing musical status, management sent his dancers on his European Promotion Trip. The dancers will be a fun stage addition to Adam’s Glam Nation Summer Tour and with each performance grow in confidence. Love the current single, IIHY, choreographed down stage front movement when Monte and Tommy move to flank Adam-allowing Adam to perform his dance moves.

    What dancers? All I ever see is Adam. He could have 100 dancers on and I would still only see Adam. Addicted much?

    i actually kinda like the dancers…of course my eyes are transfixed on adam the whole time…but they add a sorta nice "background" effect to the performance! loved it so much!!! :D

    Adam did a fabulous job on Ellen but he always does that! We want to see Adam DANCE! I am happy he likes his dancers but they cannot hold a candle to when he dances…so, MORE dancing Adam, pleeeease? There is great love and anticipation for your tour out here in Adam-Land. Enjoy your summer of touring cause it should be a fabulous time for all!

    Adam makes my 75-year-old heart wanta listen to music again. I could do without the dancers, since he fills the whole stage. I do miss his female keyboard player and backup singer. She wsas fabulous!

    Like the dancers – I think they give him a context, so to speak. Also, I saw some discussion on other blogs that the teenage and early 20's crowd are responding to the dancers, which makes sense. I'm 31 but I like them too. Think they will be necessary for the fully mounted tour eventually also btw. There seems to be no intention to have them present on stage all the time. (and yes, my eyes are transfixed on Lambert anyway, I only catch a glimpse of dancers when they are right up close to Lambert). Think the Ellen appearance had something for everyone, something to make all fans happy!
