Axl Rose effs up another GNR reunion

Axl Rose misinterpreted a Twitter message from Slash, when referring to a benefit concert he [Slash] planned to benefit Haiti.

On the 13th, Slash tweeted, “Looking into organizing a big fund raiser concert for Haiti.” Apparently, in Axl language, he must’ve thought that Slash was looking for a way to get the band back together, so he responded with, “On a side note, pretty low n’ selfish usin’ the devastation in Haiti 2 start (false) reunion rumors. R hearts n’ prayers go out to the Haitian people.”

But do you know how huge that would be if GNR reformed to benefit the Haitians? Side note: Axl needs to learn how to read.

    Maybe you should learn how to read. Where did Axl say the message was directed at Slash? There might be more going on behind the scenes than the public knows about. The GN’R camp disputed the message having anything to do with Slash’s twitter message. So there you have it.. “..printin’ lies, starting controversy..”

        “it was obvious”… haha, well there you go. quality work right there. no wonder axl gets a bad reputation, everything is always twisted to suit the media’s agenda. so, the fact that the gn’r camp denies this being directed at slash doesn’t mean a thing? “these two twits could fit together”.. should we check if they really do? nah, let’s just go with it.

      Guns N Roses had the sound that they did because of Axl AND Slash, to be quite honest. Axl had the signature voice, which is why I got Chinese Democracy and Slash had that awesome guitar sound. I can’t hate on old GNR, as much as I want to. I really loved Appetite For Destruction and Lies. But please try not to pretend that Axl isn’t a douche, I know better…and so should you.

      Axl is always the “bad guy” when Slash opens his big cry-baby mouth to the public. Slash is just pissed that Axl’s talent made him famous for a bit.

    Well thats where you are wrong. Izzy and axl was the heart and soul of guns n roses. What has slash done after gnr huh? Even scott weiland claimed that slash was a dictator

      Slash has done multiple solo albums (in good old rock style), multiple albums with Velvet Revolver AND the new album self-titled "Slash" which is a killer album. Have nothing against Axl, but you can turn that question around and say "What has Axl (New GnR) done after the breakup of the original lineup?". ONE album that took forever to release, and it was not that great either in my eyes (but that's just my taste). You must admit that Slash and maybe Duff had something to do with the creative process in old GnR since when you hear the new albums from VR and Slash, you can get the old GnR feel. Slash solos and riffs was one of the key areas to the GnR-sound in my ears.

      The breakup was sad, and you can blame who every you want. The truth is somewhere in between Slash's and Axl's statements, I think . The good old GnR songs were primarily made by Axl, Izzy and Slash i think, and there is many songs that Axl did not take part in making also (f.ex Mr. Brownstone).

    izzy and axl wrote most of the songs for afd Am i Right? with out axl and izzy slash woulden’t be as famous as he is today. Btw didnt slash also show up at axls house drunk trying to start a reunion?

    okay so ROBERTA please go to Slash’s Twitter account and YOU WILL SEE that the ‘Looking into organizing a big fund raiser concert for Haiti.’ was actually his SECOND post
    the FIRST one sounded just like this but keep in mind that he erased ALL of them .so the first one sounded like this ‘a big-name concert should be arranged to help the relief effort in Haiti.’

    So…before you read an article and think about blastin Axl the next mornin’ again keep in mind that a true journalist always checks twice !!!

    and btw dont Copy+Paste something and then write a paragraph about how Axl needs to learn how to read…cuz its just pathetic…

    Slash has never been confirmed to have showed up on Axl’s doorstep…it was Axl making things up, remember?

    Dorian posted two Slash twitter posts, NEITHER of which mention a band reunion, yet everyone’s taking Axl’s side and getting on Slash.

    I don’t think I’ve ever heard a former bandmate of either guy talk about either man in glowing terms. If you all think Axl is such a great human, count how many “band members” he went through to get Chinese Democracy out!

    As far as who wrote the music…it was Izzy with Steven Adler, and Rose jumping in here and there when he wasn’t on heroin. Of course, you all drink Axl’s Kool Aid and probably believe he doesn’t drink or do drugs.

    One last thing…remember that Axl is more likely to spend considerable hours trying to track me and sue me for this post, but is unlikely to think twice about any fundraising or personal donations for Haiti.

      this is the original tweet but everyone forgot to mention this one in their articles…so i don’t get it Lonewolf you said neither mention a reunion…trust me a lot of people on slash’s side were askin if they will reform for a one nite show but then came axl’s tweet and here we are!

      And yeah i do believe hes a great human being only because i know him lets just say more than anyone here…ohh and btw only Buckethead and Robin left the band from the new lineup and again trust me they still go out for drinks once in a while

      and one more thing about Axl…he donated a rather large sum of money to St Jude’s hospital and he goes over there whenever he has a chance to spend time with the kids who are really sick and you don’t know if he already donated money for Haiti by signing up anonymously…anyone can do that and i know that axl has a big heart when it comes to stuff like this !!!!

    No, actually Slash admitted he was there and had subsequently lied about it…this has been common knowledge for 2 years now.

    Wow…just…wow. Adler didn’t write any songs beyond drum parts, Duff and Slash had far more to do with it, Axl (by all accounts including Slash’s) was never addicted to anything but cigarettes, but hey, nice try. Be even better with, you know…facts instead of nonsense.

      Just saying Axl was on heroin, doesn’t mean he was addicted to heroin. He has admitted “locking himself up in his apartment, listening to Led Zeppelin and doing heroin” with an old girlfriend.

      Not everyone gets addicted when they try heroin…those made-for-TV movies lied to you.
