Every so often, we like to thank everyone who helps us at Earsucker and makes this site just get bigger and bigger. We get around 10K visits a day (OMG that’s like a whole stadium full of people). I know this might seem like a stupid idea to some folks who are all like: STFU and burn in a fire, your site actually sucks. Those people aren’t going to like this site no matter what we do, and it’s ridiculous trying to please everyone. But I just want to say thanks! As a bonus, here’s our new ABOUT PAGE!

Who/what is EarSucker? Well, it’s really just the name of this website, which is supposed to evoke a more musical theme. I like to think it’s a good name for the wormy part of your brain that translates auditory sound frequencies into feelings (I love this song!). You’ll have to forgive me if things sound nerdy there, but I’m a cold-calculating robot machine that is trying to learning emotions a bit of a psychologist and enjoy simplifying the human experience.

And speaking of human experience, this site gets about 10,000 people a day (at time of writing, see stats) experiencing some emotion or another. Whether they hate some punk upstart or commercialized pop artist, or they love them, we like to hear about it and serve the human planet earth’s appetite for that news. Are we curing cancer or solving world peace? I guess not directly. Does music usually intertwine with the human experience in solving those problems? Absolutely. So when you read and participate on EarSucker, just remember that in a small way: you are making the world a better place, if only for yourself to later conquer your problems. Try not to be angry human, it doesn’t helpful. Am disappoint.

The robots that run this site We here at Earsucker also invite anyone and everyone to join us in our quest to spread the Earth planet’s love/hate of music sounds and visions to the widest audience possible. Right now the process is tedious and I deal with it, but upgrades are happening on a continuous basis to send the human owners more advertising money to accumulate resources. Some of these resources will go towards alcoholic beverages.

The content on this site is mostly a product of the most influential people, which you are invited to join for free (just ask in the email, an account will be created). You may find individual views creeping into the writing from time to time, but we also value your input comments and helpful participation. Artist interviews happen as anyone is able to get them (that means you should call up Beck and record it, LOL), news coverage happens as you hear about it, music reviews happens as you learn of them. You should participate in this inclusive and free intarweb site to help make it better, there are already a lot of people reading it! Spammers can fuck off, yo.

If you find anything in a post to be factually incorrect or if you simply disagree, please respond via comments respectfully and set the record straight. External links and good-humor will certainly help your arguments.

UPDATE: I forgot to mention that EarSucker is a Google News Source™ which is supposed to be a BIG DEAL and silly of me to forget mentioning because it means any stupid thing we say gets sent out alongside AP and Reuters, which is really cool when you think about it.
