Ellen DeGeneres does not like Simon Cowell

According to TMZ, American Idol judges Ellen DeGeneres and Simon Cowell are not on the best of terms with each other.

The feuding started when Ellen reported for her first day of work on the show, to which Simon was reportedly late. That’s not the only reason for her dislike, however. She doesn’t particularly care for the way that he badgers the contestants and rips on them for their performances.

TMZ reports:

Our insiders say Simon and Ellen aren’t even trying to hide it. Ellen can’t stand what she believes is Simon’s cruelty toward contestants. And, we’re told, Simon actually enjoys pissing Ellen off with his blistering critiques.

It all started badly when Simon showed up late for Ellen’s first week of “A.I.” taping and made her wait around. Producers separated the two — who began the season sitting side-by-side — but the tension has gotten worse.

But business is business. “A.I.” is beating the Olympics, and ratings for Ellen’s show skyrocketed last week.

    Simon is the only one who doesn't dance around the truth… the others are to busy trying to win over the viewing audience. Not really sure about Ellen…. she states the same thing about each contestant… what is her music background, and how can she give criticizim when she is only worried about hurting their feelings ?

    I think she wants to take simon cowells place when he leaves, but there's no way she'll be as good! Randy and Simon are the only ones who know what they're talking about. Ellen won't make it past this season. :)

    I THINK THE SHOW'S RATINGS ARE LOSING GROWN AND I THINK IT IS BECAUSE OF SIMON'S LEAVING. SIMON IS A PRO AT WHAT HE DOES. ELLEN AND THE OTHER GIRL ACTS AS IF THEY KNOW SOMETHING AND THEY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT REAL TALENT. SIMON DID NOT GET WHERE HE IS TODAY BEING STUPID. HE DOES THE CONTESTANTS A FAVOR WHEN HE TELLS THEM WHAT HE DOES. THE FLAT OUT TRUTH. THEY DESERVE TO KNOW THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH. I ADMIRE HIM FOR THAT. WHEN THE CONTESTANTS HAVE TIME TO THINK ABOUT IT, THEY KNOW HE IS RIGHT.
    I WISH THAT WE COULD GET BRITAIN'S GOT TALENT LIVE HERE IN THE USA. NOW…THAT IS A GOOD, QUALIFING PANEL OF JUDGES. PLUS, B.G.T. HAS A MIXTURE OF TALENTS, NOT JUST THESE YOUNG KIDS LIKE AMERICAN IDOL HAS.. TO SOME OF US, IT IS NOT WORTH WATCHING. I GLANCE THRU WHEN A COMMERICAL IS ON ANOTHER STATION.
