Julia Stiles says she didn’t break up Michael C. Hall’s marriage

Julia Stiles is miffed at reports that have circulated on the internet suggesting that she had some sort of play in the divorce between Michael C. Hall and his wife Jennifer Carpenter.

It was actually a blind item that made the rounds, but gossip websites drew their own conclusions that it was Julia who came between the Dexter star and his wife.

In a statement, Julia said, “I have absolutely nothing to do with the split between Michael and Jennifer. We are good friends and enjoyed working together. This is a personal matter between them, and we should respect their privacy. Although I too prefer to keep my private life private, I felt compelled to dispel the rumors I was somehow the cause for this matter.”
